The Heysi Missive

Awesome.....but not easy to find. 4 stores, 2 farmers markets and a brewpub. Drat....oh wait....there's nationwide shipping......4 pints for $100!!!!!! Nope.
I was thinking next time you’re in SoCal.

I may not have mentioned this.........but the VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS WON THE STANLEY CUP!!!!

They had the victory parade on Saturday and the players were having the time of their lives. They were throwing shirts and hats into the crowds along the parade route from the top of double-decker buses and a few players were tossing pucks as well. Then they started throwing beads and the crowds started throwing beers up to the players and then things got nuts......the players started drinking and spraying the crowds with beer and champagne and everyone was having a blast. Eventually they made it to the front of the arena where a huge Victory celebration was held. And again....more beers...more champagne...and then the speeches started. Everyone from the owner to the governor got on the mic and said how great it was that the team won the Cup....then they handed the mic to a few of the players. Everything was going fine until they handed it to my favorite player, William Karlsson. Now, when he was drafted by the team in 2017, he was 24 years old and he was a single guy. Here it is now 6 1/2 years later and he's now a married guy with his first son....and he just won the Stanley Cup......and he's been drinking.....a lot...for 5 days and now he has the microphone...Back when he first started in the NHL, fellow players gave him the nickname Will Bill because he's the exact opposite of that nickname....in fact....he usually never says as much as he said in his speech.....If you can, go look for it on youtube...just search for William Karlsson speech (I won't post it as there are a few F-Bombs that violate the TOU).

Here is Wild Bill during his speech.....

....he's a happy guy and now the most fun guy in the room. But it's quite obvious the Will Bill has been overserved.

It looks like some teammates may have been overserved as well. But heck, most are in their 20s, and they just achieved a dream they've had since they were kids. They are allowed to cut loose a bit. Just don't let them get behind the wheel. Many athletes use f-bombs as adjectives, though they certainly are aware when speaking into a mike.

Glad Vegas turned out for the parade. It's worth the traffic headaches.

Trying to imagine Wild Steve behind the camera, watching the whole event unfold 🤔
I do look that fit with my shirt off.....just a bit more chest hair though.

And I have been overserved that much before.....thank goodness no one gave me a microphone (although there was that time I did karaoke after tequila shots....and shots....and shots.....)

Totally discovered that my new bathroom set up has been defeating me each morning. I'm currently using the small bathroom since we're getting ready to remodel the main bathroom and each morning I've been experiencing weak lather when I use a brush. I don't have that problem when I use the Spider Williams method so that's what I default back to when the brush won't whip up any decent lather. Well, I was shaving this morning (and thinking....as we all do while shaving) and it suddenly occurred to me that every bathroom I've used for the past 30+ years has been large enough to NOT need an exhaust vent. The new house has one in each bathroom (the previous two houses didn't even have exhaust vents). One of the two purposes of the exhaust vent is to remove excess moisture from the room. Well, I've been ruining my lather each morning by removing the moisture from first the room, then my face and finally the soap. A new round of experimentation will commence this weekend to see how I can maintain a moist environment for my shaves but also remove the moisture when I'm finished. Life really is about adjusting to the moments.
