Mentioned once that I have access to a plating company here at work and someone asked why I didn't get all my razors replated....this is why...

...not only did they gold plate the dozen contacts I need to test for conductivity...but they gold plated the staple I used to close the plastic bag I sent the contacts to them in. Incompetent boobs.

I say that you send in your razors with a bunch of staples - so it will pay for itself. We will own the gold plated staple market! Bwaahahahaha!

Finished up another week with a mystery soap tryout and here's my review:

IMG_20230131_055936290.jpg

Kaboom by Stirling.

This one gave me the same trouble as the last mystery soap in that it didn't give me the warm fuzzys when it came to lather building...but once I put brush to face...it worked. Nice and slick. Plenty of lather.

The scent is peppery....if that makes sense to the scent experts on here. Reminds me of the pepper trees that grow here in Vegas. That's the best my untrained nose can do.

Verdict:
One again...we have a winner. I'll be using this one again.

But up next....a 3017 of Williams mug soap. So the tryouts are on hold for the next 100+ days. We'll return to this experiment in mid May.

Non shaving Disney trip journal:

Finally back from Disneyland (actually got back on Thursday but.....too tired to post).

First day was Disney's California Adventure. We rode the new Spiderman ride (3 times!!!). It's awesome. Really fun and action packed. You get to shoot webs like Spiderman and knock out spider bots to save Avengers campus. It's a blast. The other fun part about this park is that they serve alcohol. So several tasty beers were sampled. Also, it's a bit more of a foodie paradise than the classic park so lots of great food to try. We had bacon Mac and cheese for a pre lunch snack...a killer hand made burger for lunch (with a view of Radiator Springs Racers to boot). Later we snacked on some fresh made sourdough bread. Finished off the evening with a hot fudge sundae. Thank goodness I walked over 40,000 steps or I'd be up a few lbs after that extravaganza.

Day 2 was the classic park, Disneyland!! I've been going to this park since 1971...so this is my backyard. But....there's a new land that I've never been to before....STAR WARS LAND!!! To be able to stand under a full sized millennium falcon....it was heaven (I may have teared up a little). The two rides in Star Wars land are great but Rise of the Resistance is so much fun. Sadly, we only got to ride it once. It's super popular and waiting in a 2 hour line later in the day was not on our agenda (only had to wait 20 minutes first thing in the morning).

We used all of the old tricks we know to make our Disneyland day go smooth and they all seemed to still work with the changes they've made to the park over the last few years (I may need to write out a new thread detailing some of our special tricks we've learned and perfected over the years we've been going there.....I'll work on that).

All in all, it was a great trip and the batteries are recharged. There's already talk of going to Disney World next year and starting a west coast/east coast rotation from now on. We'll see.

See ya Later!!

I know someone on this forum that may like this particular ride….but I’ll ask Bruce if that really is his style 😂

Sounds like you had a blast - and so stoked for you my friend!

Just gonna post a photo of all of us at the cantina in Star Wars land....

My daughter, Clarissa. Our son in law, Vince. My wife Michelle. And me. The drinks were stupid-priced ($15 for a beer!!)...so we just enjoyed the views for a few minutes, thanked the server and headed out to do more exploring of the land. It's such an immersive environment. It's like being in Star Wars. If you can go...go!!
