It has a different type of feel to it, crisp and smooth. It is machined versus metal injection molding and seems more precisely made with finer tolerances. The AS-D2 also has better balance as the 6S is top heavy. OTOH, the Rockwell 6S is more forgiving with regard to angle. Don't get me wrong--I have both and would not part with either.I'm still skeptical it can beat out my 6S
