Well back home on the range so to speak. Skipped the Sunday and Monday shaves due to work and travelling home so today was catch up day! Quick work of this tough beard was in order and so I reached for the X3 slant matched to the 85mm bulldog handle. Loaded it up with a Personna Platinum and went to work.

Soap of choice (been jumping to try it) CBL Outlaw! I picked up a bottle of Stetson and was wondering which soaps I had in the den to match it. Was trolling the CBL site for goodies and read the description for “Outlaw”...nuff said! Today was the day and just like all @CBLindsay soaps I have tried so far the performance was excellent. Just a tad more thirsty or maybe it was just me. The RBMC Badger doesn’t hold a ton of water which is why I use it for certain soaps but it was handy today. Anyway, lathered up quite well and the scent was “Stetson”!!

Lovely, two pass DFS achieved and topped off with the aforementioned Stetson AS. Wow, that was great!

Well it’s sure is nice to be home. Great trip, lots accomplished and back to the grind tomorrow. Today we put the horses away and relax.

Take care and safe travels Cadre!

So we carry on with the “aggressive” razors list. I had to suspend my research during my trip up North which started with the iKon Tech and Blackland Dart both of which I found efficient more than fearsome. Today’s razor was the Timeless Bronze OC .78. Beautiful razor with fit and finish being as nice as my Timeless SS .95. The Bronze has a reputation for being pretty aggressive but I loaded it up with a Super-Max Blu Diamond and took it slow.

Soap of the day A&E Cafe au Lait. Wow! What a great scent lots of chocolate and coffee...makes you hungry! Great performer too! Very impressed all around with this one and the only A&E soap I have. The matching AS was also quite nice!

Through a very wonderful two pass DFS/BBS. What an incredible razor! Very efficient but quite smooth. Of the three so far this one has the most blade feel but I like that so no complaints from me. I still say the Muhle R41 feels more dangerous. Thanks @Dagwoodz she is in good hands with me!

Well the weekend is upon us so take care and safe travels Cadre!

Monday morning and back to work after a lovely weekend. Reached for the 1956 Gillette Red Tip Super Speed today really just to satisfy my curiosity as to how aggressive this razor was. I have been on a kick of “aggressive” razors including the Blackland Dart, iKon Tech, Timeless Bronze OC .78 all excellent and efficient. I remember being able to feel the Red Tip compared to other Super Speeds In my collection. Well I loaded up with a Bolzano to give it a go.

Tabac was the soap of choice and today was the shave stick. I also have the traditional soap in the ceramic bowl. I love Tabac in all its glory! So easy to get a lather going with this stick especially when you have a wall of Badger like the Chubby 2 working it up! Very slick and smooth!

So with Red Tip in hand I got through a wonderful two pass shave. Smooth, smooth! No where near as aggressive as I remember which I might just attribute to the really efficient ones I have been using of late. Still a wonderful razor the Red Tip Super Speed.

Ed, I had similar thoughts when I went back to a redtip. Never had trouble with it before but feels less aggressive due to more experience with more aggressive razors. Nice shave.

Yes indeed it does and a great shave!

Ed and his aggressive razors! :ROFLMAO:

Good shave buddy! I’ve got a sample of the new ADP cologne, can’t wait to give it a try!

*Edit - oops nvm, it’s ADG!

Loved the Gillette Red Tip on Monday and decided I would carry on with the Super Speed Trio! So today I reached for the 1956 Flare Tip Super Speed. Loaded up with a Voskhod and to work I went.

RazoRock Gold was the soap of the day with the matching AS. Lovely spice, citrus and amber all mixed in there. Love RazoRock soaps and AS because I haven’t had a bad one yet and the performance per dollar is excellent.

Lovely two pass shave and good to go for work. Nice and smooth the Flare Tip.

Hump Day...soon the weekend will be upon us. Take care and safe travels.

Smoky goodness today! More on that in a minute! Keeping with the Gillette Super Speed Trio, I went with the 1956 Blue Tip Super Speed today. Often maligned as an overly mild razor incapable of shaving a course beard by those on various forums. Well, I am not one of those folks. Loaded up with a good blade on par with a Kai, Feather or Nacet, the Blue Tip is a wonderful razor. For me anyway. Today a fresh Kai was loaded.

Now back to the smoky goodness. Stirling Gatlinburg! I don’t know how it was created but man, do Love this scent. i have waxed enough on it’s many merits as a soap but the scent is what it gets me and yes, I do jam my beak in this one a lot!

Through a wonderful three pass shave and BBS achieved. Now again could I get there in two passes with another razor? Sure but I will take a three pass BBS shave with the Blue Tip any day and especially with such a glorious scent to enjoy!

Happy Friday! Safe travels and on this (Canadian) Thanksgiving Weekend may you be surrounded by those you hold dear!
