Comparable to Sushu Mountain? Is the small fish & chips place still open in the mini-mall you're at? Haven't been there for about a year, but we pass by regularly on our way to Halendas (just down the road by the aquarium place)

Actually Sam it is and it is quite good! Also make a killer breakfast for super cheap! I sense a food challenge about to happen. Halendas is our local butcher also and we normally drop into the Scratch and Dent furniture store when we go. Sushi Mountain is good but Sushi Today is a really good spot!

Let me know if Sushi Today is open tomorrow. I owe my wife a nice meal out.
It might be buddy I didn’t check. They serve lunch until 3:30 which is cheaper than their dinner price. You can grab a movie after that down the road...proper evening that. Of course you have to grab dessert at Caffe Demetre....

Since my last post I snuck in another road shave which included my Mergress, Stirling Sharp Dressed Man etc. Very nice yet uneventful as it should be. Back in the confines of Villa Somnos and today’s shave brought me to the Rockwell R1. Much maligned by many who claim it to be inefficient and the like. “I need a Fatboy on “9” to get a close shave” some say. Well, loaded with a Personna Platinum today I figured I would revisit this one.

Soap or cream of the day really, the venerable Proraso Green which some how has eluded my grasp for awhile....(shhhh, that soap cabinet is deeper than Davy Jones’ Locker)...so it was found today and immediately put to service. Haven’t bowl lathered of late so it was very nice to grab the Fine Accruements lathering bowl and whip up a monster ton of lather. The 59 was my first Simpson and still a favourite. What a great scent...missed it!

So to work with the Rockwell R1 and through a wonderful three pass BBS shave! So now this one is a keeper and will most likely accompany me on the next vacay. No issues with efficiency here.

Friday my good friends, the weekend approaches! Have a great day, safe travels and happy shaves!

I’ll admit...of all the plates, I hear of R1 the least, even less so with BBS in the same sentence! Nice shave man!

This is the R1 TTO version and I will admit that I don't go anywhere below R5 on my 6C. This TTO shaves well and though my technique is pretty spot on, this TTO is impossible to abuse your face with so it can't just be my technique. Good blade and I have no issues with it.

Well in keeping with the Summer scents...until the very last minute! Stirling Orange Chill...mentholated. Oh so good!

Now today’s razor the Merkur 34G, “G” stands for Gangsta! Love this razor! Now all of Woodpusher’s griping about “I’m too sexy for Milan”...threw me off my game and today I reached for a “new” blade in the Gillette Super Thin made in Thailand. Hey why not eh? Oh my...I got through two WTG strokes....and I almost had one...a stroke. Tuggy and all around crap. Ejected and replaced with a fresh Wilkinson Sword (German)...should of known better. Hey @Cvargo do I have a bad blade for you to try!

Anyway, got through a wonderful two pass DFS. Thanks @woodpusher now keep that bad ju-ju to yourself.

Happy shaves all...
