New soap today, Sharp Dressed Man by Stirling. So with a scent akin to Creed’s Green Irish Tweed I wanted a razor to match and so the ultra minty 48-50 Gillette Aristocrat was chosen. Lovely razor and a virtual time capsule case and all.
Loaded up with a fresh Gillette Platinum blade...of course.

Lovely scent on this SDM and one that has made the short list of fine scents in the den. As with all Stirling’s soap I have the performance is quite good and the scent phenomenal. Lighter in scent than expected but a very nice one indeed. Chubby 2 had no issues and the wall of Badger was a face lathering dream!

Lovely two pass DFS to start the week. So four new soaps in short order reviewed, much more where that came from on the way!

Happy shaves all!

Definitely a nice setup today! I’m on the fence about Sharp Dressed Man. Some days it was nice (I had an AS sample), others it was just too sharp and powdery.

Yeah I would say the soap was a lighter scent and the AS I can see where you are coming from. Make sure you give any AS splash a good shake though before you use it. Gets all the good stuff mixed up.

Well today I decided to break out a special razor from a special set and I believe one of Gillette’s finest...the Executive. I got this awhile back and though it isn’t perfect it is a fantastic set. I just imagine what it would have been like to throw this set in a bag and head out on a business trip. Being one who travels often myself it would have been pretty perfect. This beautiful TTO was loaded up with a Gillette Platinum today.

Soap of the day you ask?...Stirling Executive Man of course! One of my favourites and tops on the list with the newly acquired Stirling Sharp Dressed Man. So good.

Lathered up with the Yaki SF and thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful three pass BBS shave. Topped it off with two spritz (I know, rebel!) of English Laundry London which is a perfect compliment to the Executive Man AS. Truly a shave fit for an Executive! Happy shaves all!

Winner winner, dinner of chicken! Nice shave man!

It was so nice I didn’t want to go to work! :p...”like that was perfect huh?...ok, let’s not push our luck...I am done...back to bed!”

You have some excellent razors, sir! Never used an Executive, but I have an Aristocrat of similar vintage which I love. Closest, smoothest DE shaves I've ever enjoyed.

Thank you Sir! I have several A’crats both US and Brit and I love my No. 58 and 66 set razors but this Executive is gorgeous and a really good shaver. It is truly a one-of-kind in the Gillette US line up. Fortunate to have it really.

Reached for an Adjustable today and realized besides my Progress and Mergress I have’t had any in rotation for a while so the 1960 Gillette Adjustable forever the Fatboy! I own two besides this lovely 60 sent up from Texas by a friend the other being a mint cased 1959. Lots of discussions on which Adjustable shaves supreme - Fatboy, Slim, Super...I have all three and I love them all. I travel with this 60 on trips longer than a couple of days. Just nice to have a solid Adjustable on vacay to tailor your shave. Crystal Stainless fell into it today. Great blade of the Personna family.

RazoRock Black Bay is a favourite of mine and I have sang its praises before and often. For those of you that love Bay Rum scents like I do enough can’t be said about how good this smells! Soap and AS are great. Chubby 1 got the ball rolling and I loaded enough to do four or more passes. Hate wasting lather but it loads quickly and well so be careful not to load too much.

Leisurely and thoroughly enjoyable three pass DFS/BBS shave. Wasn’t chasing BBS today and no need really for the weekend is upon us! May you enjoy the last moments of Summer because the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) opens today and that is the “curtain call” for Summer in these parts...enjoy and happy shaves all!

I’ll bet if summer asked nicely, the CNE would give it a few more days before calling an end. :ROFLMAO:

On the road this week and far from home. Had a great shave this morning. All good.
