Safe travels Ed!

Another road shave and quite the week it’s been so far. Today something mild and pleasant was on order so what better than a 3rd Gen Brit A’crat to achieve the goal. Loaded up with the same Personna Blue from Tuesday.

Soap of the day the chilly Margaritas in the Arctic. Lathered up beautifully and I am really enjoying the chill.

Lovely two pass near BBS shave achieved. It must be that with a mild razor I just slow right down because though mild, I get some stellar shaves out of this A’crat which is from a No.66 set. Pretty it is and I am lucky to own two.

Well we are halfway through the trip and on the downward slide to Saturday’s flight home. Take care and safe travels Cadre.

Well first shave off the road and though it was supposed to be a Sunday shave I figured one more day of fuzz would be fine. Today’s beauty is a 1966 Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable and a particular favourite. It now lives in its correct case which was sourced down in Texas and sent on up by a friend.

Lots to mow through so eh A’crat dialled up to 5 and Gillette Nacet blade is a match made in heaven. I haven’t loaded a Nacet in a while and I found it both Sharp and smooth. Lovely. RazoRock American Barber was the soap of choice along with the matching AS.

Lovely two pass DFS achieved. Lovely way to start what will no doubt be a busy week.

Well, well today I reached for a special razor in the collection my 1969 Gillette Super Adjustable or “Super 84”. Not only is it a minty, cased example but also my birth year razor! Loaded up with Gillette Nacet and enjoyed a truly smooth shave.

The Santa Maria del Fiore Firenze by RazoRock is truly a late Summer early Fall scent. Smoky wild flowers with a hint of tobacco. Great lather and a real pleasure to use. Bowl lathered today and the SilkSmoke did a great job of getting all going.

Lovely three pass DFS was all that was required. Hard to believe the razor is almost 50! The fat, old guy wielding it isn’t too bad either.

Have fun and safe travels!

Watch out world! Ed the Rebel is in the loose!

Rainy and lazy Sunday for sure but I figured I should get rid of the ever increasing fuzzy face. Today’s choice the venerable Gillette Slim but with a twist. This is a 1964 Slim that was given the Delta Echo treatment in this case the Cubano edition. This piece of functional art came from @Dave in KY.

Soap today the equally awesome Club CBL from Chris at CBL soaps. THE perfect companion to Pinaud Clubman. In fact if you love Clubman you will be instantly familiar with the scent of this soap because it is Clubman! Never mind the scent for a minute the soap is a lather monster period as are all CBL soaps. Happy 1st Anniversary Chris!!!

Beautiful three pass BBS shave! Slapped on some Clubman and off to Sushi with my bribe! Rainy yes but so much better after this shave! Have a lovely Sept 1st!
