Yup...that is a wonderful looking razor! I love your choice of EdP/EdT yesterday! I love me some English Laundry!

I happened across the brand by accident really. I have a few dress shirts but stumbled across some Notting Hill EdP and decided to try it. Well, that led to Windsor, London and Tahitian Waters coming home of which I have the matching body wash for the last two and the deodorants for the first two. Quite like them and they are EdP as far I know. Also, lucked out on the sets because they came with travel size of the Tahitian Waters and London. London is a pretty close and cheap ringer for Creed Aventus.

I found a pack of four English Laundry scents a while back on the cheap at a TJ Maxx. Ended up with four scents of an Ounce apiece. Notting Hill, Cambridge Knight, Oxford Blue are all EdPs and Arogant is and EdT. I think I like Arrogant the best out of the four...but Notting Hill is pretty nice also.

I spot that same set a little while ago at Winners which is same-same TJ Maxx like. Arrogant sounds fun. I have a bunch of scents on the go so maybe Christmas time...

No worries Sam any time. You want to borrow you let me know and we can grab a coffee!
Yaqi Sangria should be inbound this weekend, but I am always up for a java with the best looking dude in the Cadre who lives the next town over. I can bring you a small scoop of LFM from my double-shot container, just so you can see what you missed out on. :ROFLMAO:

Well today I decided I would try an SE for SOTD. I recently got the El Jefe in on an eBay purchase. Beautiful shape and I matched it to a 90mm Special Edition iKon handle. First use of any single edge so I carefully loaded up a Schick ProLine AC blade and made sure everything was in alignment and the guard was forward. El Jefe has the distinct ability to be “adjusted” which is code for extremely deadly if you don’t pay attention when loading the blade. No worries.

Soap of the day was Stirling Tuscany which is a lovely scent and a slick soap which I figured I would need with this razor. Let’s not leave anything to chance except for everything!

First pass was WTG and boy I had to work the angle to get it to be smooth for me. Granted first pass with a new razor of a different type so I was expecting some work. Second pass XTG and now with the angle sorted it was singing along nicely. Third pass ATG nice and slow to compensate for the width of the blade and done indeed! Smooth as can be! However, I found far more stubble than I am used to over the first two passes which I attribute to my technique alone.

I must say the audible feedback on this razor is nuts...it doesn’t make a “cutting” sound it makes a “crunching” sound. I don’t know if it cut the stubble or ate it. No matter pretty darn close to BBS was achieved. I have a 10 pack sampler of AC blades to try so I plan on dialling El Jefe in. As far as the name goes? Well there is only one El Jefe in this house and she’s out shopping!

Happy Sunday and happy shaves all!

Adventurous first outing with the Jefe! Glad you got it dialed in a little better toward the end.

Yeah the first pass was rough! Not kidding at all. Towards the end it was getting better and it ended well. No nicks, cuts...all good.

Wanted a Gillette this morning given my run of modern razors lately. The iKon El Jefe was an interesting departure but the first TTO ever designed by Gillette seemed in order. The first Generation Aristocrat TTO is as smooth as it is beautiful though opinions vary of course. This 34/35 was my “White Whale” for awhile but I finally caught him. Loaded with a Wilkinson Sword (German) this morning.

Soap of the day TFS GdiT is a lovely performing soap with a great scent. If you have an order into Italian Barber anytime soon grab this one with the matching balm or any of the TFS soaps. They are vegan based unless I have missed anything and the scent profiles I have tried have all been winners.

Lathered up and got through a very nice two pass DFS. No muss or fuss. Just wanted to get cleaned up and on the road. They got it right with the first TTO in my humble opinion.

Happy shaves and safe travels all.
