Thoughts and prayers are going out to you KJ. I am also sorry that you have to change up your diet and give up 90% of what you would normally eat to start this treatment. Hopefully it all goes smoothly!

I'm keeping you in my thoughts as you get this taken care of. My only experience in this area was a cat who had the radioactive iodine treatment, and she lived to the ripe old age of 23, which is pretty darned good for a cat. I'm sure things will go well, just hang in there! Take care!

I’m not worried about it at all, I’m past all the cancer stuff. This is just some housekeeping to ensure it doesn’t come back. Just going to be a major inconvenience and life adjustment for a time. But, at least I’m already used to quarantining and staying away from people, right?
Compared to what others with cancer go through, this is nothing. As my doctor who first diagnosed me said, if you’re going to get cancer, this is the kind you want to have.

The way I’m reading it, you need to play with all your exotic snakes and spiders while YOU are radioactive so THEY get residual radioactivity. Then, since they will be all mutated and angry because you contaminated them they will sneak up on you and bite you in your sleep so when you wake up you will either have really cool super powers...or have a super ugly open wound that never heals.
The thing is, if I drink I fall asleep so I really don’t get a chance to post with fermented peanut butter influencing my content. Unless of course I drank peanut butter flavored CANADIAN whisky, then I’ll stay awake to complain about how bad it tastes. ....this stuff just comes naturally, courtesy of the voices. NOT the voices in MY head, don’t go starting rumors. It’s the voices in the heads of the voices in my head, THEY are the ones you gotta watch out for.I thought @Cvargo was the only one who drank and posted....
...Fresh brewed homes roasted beans are the best, just be careful how much you drink.
But seriously @Spider, I hope everything continues to go as smoothly as it has. A few long days on a restricted diet is a small price to pay for the added peace of mind this will bring in the long run.
