The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

So what you’re saying is you’re going to replace your suitcase full of Williams with a suitcase full of hotel soap?

Actually, a mix of Williams and this soap would be heavenly. Williams for the lather and slickness, and this soap for the added post shave feel. Sounds amazing.

So, we had a big weekend and did a lot of stuff. Sunday was our 5 month Anniversary. We started dating on April 1st (fitting, huh?). Anyway, we like to celebrate all the little things so we make a point to do something around the 1st of every month. This weekend, we just happened to have a lot of stuff going on!

Saturday we droke to Kansas City and checked into a hotel, then proceeded to the Oddities and Curiosities Expo. It was fun, and interesting, but wasn't what I expected. There weren't too many vendors selling stuff that I was interested in.

After the Flea Market we went to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. I should have taken many more pics, but I didn't. They have some great pieces from Picasso, Monet, etc...... Lots of famous art names, LOL.

On of my faves is Bosch, and I foudn this one:

A fun sculpture that is outside the museum (I think they have 3 or 4 of these around the property....

(go ahead and make your jokes.... we've said them all already, LOL)

And another nearby Art Museum, has a piece I've been wanting to see (for obvious reasons). There's actually 6 of these made and in collections around the world.

Folks at the Expo kept commenting on our hair and how much they loved it. We had a few people want to take our picture. Even had a little girl come up to us and ask if she could take her pic with us. On the street car, one older lady asked us about our clothing and we mentioned the Expo.... she then said she hoped we won, thinking it was a contest thing. LOL

We had a great time and were very busy. It was nice to just sit home and relax on monday. As it's now officially the start of the Halloween season, we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, and Holidays. And we also dug out the Halloween decorations from the closet and will start putting them up this week!

You both look like you had a great time. So.......I gotta ask, what kind of dye do you have to use to get that color for your hair?

WOW!!! A lot of great pics, a lot of great finds! Looks like you both had a great time. And it looks like you got a little culture in there too! 🤪 Nice to see you happy and having fun KJ!

So, today is Friday the 13th.... and tonight will be a full moon! This is one heck of a day. Started it off right!

Mongoose B-2 Bomber Razor
Oz Shaving Co. Ram's Head Brush
B&M Fougere Gothique Soap

B&M Fougere Gothique Aftershave

So as for the shave, The Fougere Gothique is simply an amazing scent. It's definitely in my top 10, possibly top 5 of all my scents. I think I need to stock up on this stuff. I just love it! The lather was good, as B&M always is. And the shave was pretty good too. I have a proline blade with I don't know how many uses on it.

I did just complete a 4 shave showdown between my Mongoose and the General. My goal was to keep only one of the two, and I wanted to see which I liked better. Shave-wise, I felt they were pretty identical. Just as close, just as comfortable. So it just came down to aesthetics for me. Honestly, I don't care for the spiral babrbole twist of the Bomber handle, but it doesn't affect the handling during the shave, so I let that slide. The Bomber handle is longer, and slightly longer than the handle on the General, but really during the shave the difference is barely noticeable. But, if we are letting the weight of the razor do the work, then the Mongoose is slightly better because of it. So there was a slight edge to the Mongoose, and I did decide to keep that one, but mainly for sentimental reasons. When I ordered it, I ordered the Bomber handle option (that's just what it was called), and I was in group B-2 or somehtng for the order so my razor was a B-2 Bomber..... fitting right?

*****************************************************************

So, that's how I started my Friday the 13th. Amber and I have some plans tonight to make the most of the rest of this awesome day. After work, we will be going to get a Tarot reading done. A local shop is having a $13 special on readings for Friday the 13th. Then we will be going to a local distillery to do a tasting. Phantom V Distillery (as in 5). They make about 5-6 flavors of flavored Brandy, as well as vodka and I think they are working on a rum.

Then we will be chilling outside watching a movie on our outdoor big screen. Not sure what movie yet, but it will be horror for sure. (Maybe "Friday the 13th", maybe not) Then likely having a bonfire as we wait for the full harvest moon to occur at 2332 (or 11:32 PM for you non-military types). Can't wait for my work day to be over so we can start our weekend plans!
