I think the only REALLY good justification for you to "join the club" would be if you had become bored with the gear you have. In YOUR case specifically, I think you find enormous enjoyment in using your assorted DE's and would be happier spending the $$$ on soaps and aftershaves. The Tedalus IS a well built specimen, worth a premium price (how premium is subjective) so if you wanted to own a very high quality shavette that looks and functions very much like a straight razor (maybe better?) then throw some cash down the Tedalus hole.I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around what could possibly be so good about this razor to justify the cost of it. It's just a holder for a blade. There are many other holders for the same blades out there... at a fraction of the cost. And, I own several "shavettes" that already use the same blades. So why should I join the 333 club? Help me out here. I really want to know what it is about this razor that makes it so much better than all the rest and worth the price of admission.
I understand that they designed it to hold multiple blade types but I simply can't understand why someone would want to use a half DE blade in it UNLESS they were a barber using it to clean up necklines etc and they switch to feather blades for face shaves. When I saw on their website that they were showing it being used with a half DE blade I almost didn't buy it. ...I have never been SO injured by a shave tool as I have been using a half DE in a shavette.
