A good one...



A sober shave tonight lol. Took the Rockwell back out for a spin and I really need to thank you guys for recommmed it. I love it so far! Bumped up the plate to number 5 and it was great. I was a solid DFS after 2 passes, but of course I couldn’t stop there. I should really learn when to quit. I went for 3 passes and some touch up and walked away about 99% BBS, but with a little neck irritation. Stupid tation...but it’s my own fault for chasing, and it’s not that bad so I’m not that upset about it.

I went for the synthetic tonight after a few failed lathers with the WWBW Silvertip. I took Tim and KJ’s advice and loaded the Silvertip like it owes me money and am letting it sit in the lather overnight. Hopefully this helps a bit. Otherwise I got a great lather from the synthetic as always.

In Other News....
Staying in with the wife and animals tonight for New Years. Should be a nice quiet evening if watching Dick Clark’s Rocking New Years Eve and not knowing who any Of the performers are lol. Willie is not amused...

Thanks guys! What channel is the Utes game on Dave? I might start switching back and forth. This NYE programming is getting worse every year. Or maybe I’m starting to get old...no that’s not it, it’s getting worse! Lol.

I hope everyone had a happy New Year!

I posted a picture of my tub of CFG Ghost Town Barber in the 3017 thread. This is day one of the 3017, but not day one for this tub. I completely forgot to order my tub of Sherlock that I had planned on using, so I'll just move forward with the GTB. It's at least 75% full still, so I'll be able to play along for a while.

Got another great shave out of the Rockwell 6C. This thing is awesome. I was DFS after 2 passes, and really should've stopped there. Went for the third pass and I'm about 95% BBS with a hair of irritation on the neck, but no worries.

I went for the Nivea ASB today as my face is pretty dry. I've been feeling a little crappy the last few days and I realized that I'm coming down with something. I've been very congested and blowing my nose a lot, as well as taking decongestant meds, so my face is a little dried out. Oh well, I don't get sick often and I don't really feel that awful. I'll survive.

In Other News....

I was feeling productive this afternoon, so I decided to take all the Christmas stuff down. It's always the saddest day of the year for me, but I'm glad I got it done and don't have to worry about it now.

I also had a past real estate client reach out to me about meeting to talk about investment properties today. I'm pretty excited about this and hope it turns into a fruitful relationship.

Willie World:

Willie has been feeling very good the last few days. He even went for a walk through half of the neighborhood today. We'll gradually work on getting back to going through the entire neighborhood. Don't want to push him too hard though.
 
Good shave! We always delay taking Christmas stuff down, sometimes out of want, others out of laziness.

Haha yeah sometimes I’m the same. I delay to keep it up because I like it, but also because walking up and down the attic steps is no fun!

And thanks, I’m hoping the real estate thing continues to build on last year’s success. I was one deal away from the goal set by my original mentor/office manager. I thought her goal was very unrealistic for someone that had no experience in real estate, or sales in general. The person that took over for her after about 2 months of me starting said she was positive I would hit that goal as well. I thought she was crazy too. Guess I was wrong!
 
I took down my tree and decorations as well. Such a pain, glad I didn’t put much out.

Im sure your tub will last you quite a while!
 
Great shave, Steve. I've only had my Rockwell 6c for a few weeks, but it's already my favorite DE.
 
Nice shave and Willie update. I’ll have to wait until Friday to take down the tree. We had a houseful today. Will also have to hunker down and stay warm, icy weather headed our way.

Thank you sir! I was really torn between this and the Parker Variant. You were very convincing in your argument though. I may still end up with a Variant at some point in time, but for now I’m very satisfied with this razor...and it’s only been 3 shaves! My shave funds are pretty limited so I was worried about making the wrong choice, but clearly you steered me in the right direction sir!
 
Well I am now caught up on a little over a week's worth of shaves. Great stuff indeed. Glad Willie is still doing well. BUT where is the update on the Nintendo Switch? I want one but can't justify that splurge to the wife.

Haha I totally forgot about that! I’ve used it a few times so far. The console didn’t come with any games, so I’ve only played Fortnite on it since that is a free download. I’ve never played Fortnite before so I was getting the hang of the game and console at the same time.

It’s basically a game boy (in color) that you can hook up to your TV if you want. And apparently there are games where 2 players can play at the same time on the same screen, so the controller portion of the handheld separates in to 2 scaled down controllers. Neat idea, but I can only see it working for simpler games with a very basic controller layout since you essentially lose half of the regular controller.
