Steve's Journal: The Saga Continues....

Hope Willie gets the help he needs to recover. Pets are very much a part of the family, even more so sometimes as they will never turn their back on you when u need them most.

The sad part is they cant always express when something is wrong, its up to us to see behavioral changes to figure it out.

Sending some good vibes your way Steve and hope Willie will be ok.

Thanks guys, it really means a lot! I’ll make sure Willie makes some guest appearances in the journal once he’s home! Maybe I’ll even get the nerve up to do a video and have him pop in...gonna have to work myself up to that one lol.

I am definitely thinking and praying for Willie! I am sure he is in the best hands and care possible!

Back at it with the Tech II and Ladas Super Stainless. Still getting a great shave from this combo, but I’m starting to get some irritation on the neck. Probably from not taking any days off in a while. I usually take a shave break every 3 days or so. I think that’ll be tomorrow for me. Otherwise another solid DFS.

*Willie Update*

Well he had his procedure done today and from what the doctor said it was pretty successful. They cleaned out a lot of calcified fluid around the ruptured disc and they feel he should experience some relief immediately. The doctor said he couldn’t be sure when he’ll regain the ability to control going to the bathroom, but it should come back soon. He’ll orobably need to stay at Penn for another day or 2 and the the long road to recovery will begin. The wife, stepson, and I have been “Willie-proofing” the house in anticipation! Thanks for all the positive vibes everyone, it really means a lot!!!

Hoping for a speedy recovery. Pets are Family, no matter what!

I was a bit behind. Great updates on those blades and of course on the surgery for Willie. We have 3 dogs, 2 wiener dogs and a bulldog. They are all spoiled rotten, but we are animal folk so it's all good.

Thanks Tim! The Ladas blade has been treating me well. I might need to invest in some more.

And yes Willie, and his 2 cat siblings Ozzy and Lucy, are spoiled rotten lol.

Well this guy is now home....

It’s gonna be a long recovery, but he’s doing well.

I know I said I was going to take the night off last night, but I didn't. Just couldn’t help myself so I went with a simple 2 pass WTG/ATG shave. Last shave on the Ladas Super Stainless. I probably could have kept going on that blade, but decided that would be its last shave. All in all a CCS with no irritation. Wasn’t really looking for anything more than that so it was a win.

Tonight I went back to the normal 3 pass shave. The blade loaded into the Tech II, a Rapira Super Stainless. Also, another blade I’ve never used before. Also another winner!

Very little irritation and a DFS+. That’s another win in my book!

Getting my new sleeping arrangements ready in a bit so I can get some rest. I’ll be sharing the floor with Willie for a few nights until he starts feeling a bit better. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long! Lol.

I know it's hard to see our little guys in pain. But if we can squeeze out any good quality of life out of them...it is worth it. Glad to see him home in comfortable surroundings...super cute guy too! I am sure he will be healed up in no time.
