A nice late morning/early afternoon shave today. Got in my 2 pass WTG SR run and finished up with the usual XTG and ATG DE passes. Mr. Murphy decided to take a break from @NurseDave’s house for a couple minutes and visited me today. Nice nick on the neck, but other than that all is good!

SR Shaves #8 & 9
A couple of great shaves in the books. I’ve completed 7 shaves using step one of @BarberDave’s SR curriculum and will be moving on to the next level this week. The WTG passes are really comfortable and the strokes have lost their awkwardness and are very natural. I’m even comfortable in the super scary spots like the jaw line and rounding the chin haha.
The LNHC Somali Rose is a great scent amd I’m not sure why I haven’t really used it since acquiring it. I received it in a PIF from @dkeester a while back. I believe he used it once, had a reaction to the Rose and decided to move on. I’ve used it maybe twice since then. So while it’s not a new tub, it’s pretty much full. Again, the scent is great, and I’m getting a very slick lather which is great for the SR learning process!
Willie World:
Willie was not happy this morning when he had to go outside in the freezing rain we woke up to...he’d like to file a formal complaint.
In Other News...
Even though I had to breakup my long weekend with a day at work yesterday, I think it was worth going in for staff morale. I think my yard guys are recognizing the fact that I’m out there with them when normally the branch manager wouldn’t be.
Also had some nice relaxing downtime with the Mrs. this weekend. We finally finished Queen’s Gambit on Netflix, we both really enjoyed it even though I’m not the best chess player and Erica has never played a game in her life. We also binge watched season 3 of Cobra Kai on Friday. Johnny Lawrence is my spirit animal!

This is a fantastic team-building exercise!
If you ever get in crunch time, and ask them to work longer hours or on a weekend for some deadline-sensitive work, they will trust you that there is a legitimate reason. My team always knew when I said sometime was emergency work, that it really was and it wasn't some artificial thing from higher-up mgmt (i.e. mahogany and cherry desks) for them to look good.

Back to work today. So far it’s been relatively calm. Let’s hope it stays that way all week!

Another excellent shave using the LNHC Somali Rose. It’s been a while since I’ve used a Voskhod blade. I forgot I had a tuck that survived the Sink Leak Blade Purge a while back. After hearing @BarberDave talk about them in one of his latest videos I went searching through my stuff and found some.

Willie was feeling good last night and decided that I was not allowed to sit on the couch and relax until he had about an hour of playtime with his favorite toy.
