Razor: Torrey Our 136 / Schick Slim
Soap: SV Opuntia
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop: Griffin
Brush: Sterling Fan shaped Badger
AS/EdT: SV Opuntia

Comments: i can’t recall the last time this razor was deployed. An O is an O.

The Hardware: I didn’t even finish one cheek before I called in the backup Slim. Clearly this one needs a tune-up. The shim with a semi fresh wizamet is more than enough to get the job done. My mind clearly was not in the game so I called it after two passes. I still got a good shave. There just wasn’t much come back out after the last shave

The Software: SV Opuntia is one of my elite soaps that I pull out occasionally so it’s more special. And it is.

The Shave: the shave was cut short, but still better than no shave. I’ll gige the Torrey a tune-up on the rock pile and hopefully, i will be back at full strength.

Razor: Fontenille 134 Medaille Argt (Thiers-Assard)
Soap: Sterling Triumph
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop: Griffin
Brush: Techichi “the Hive”
AS/EdT: Stelling Triumph

Comments: very likely the last of the alphabet where I have ‘the whole tamale’ soap, brush, razor for the letter of the day. V, X, and Z are the three left. Daunting indeed!

The Hardware: This Razor has been kind of an odd member of the fleet. While it is known to be a Thiers, it doesn’t say so anywhere on the instrument. The blade has a bit of a twist and fought hard to not take a shaving edge. Finally, after ‘bottlecapping the edge, a crooked bevel was put on the crooked blade and a very satisfying edge was applied and the nickname “The French Maiden” was given to the razor.
the Techichi Hive is a new addition to the fleet thanks to a vendor on our membership role. it’s a bit larger than some an is comfortable when my hand is uncooperative.

The Software: Sterling Triumph is a little more heavily scented to my nose than other soaps in the line and I am glad for it. Performance is as normal for anything from Rods shop. Like it a lot!

The Shave: Three excellent passes and a bit of clean-up and I feel I’m firmly in BBS territory. I have a couple of spots I could shave to the bone and they will never be smooth, so I might as well just know that’s gonna happen. Alum showed only a mild buss and no sting from the a/s. Mama approves! She is getting to enjoy when I present my shaven face for sniff evaluation. I kind of like it too.

Dear Rich,

You are going to receive something (from Texas, I think) in the next week or so. I will need you to babysit it for me for a few months or more, being sure to feed it (but not too much and never after midnight!) and take it out for walks as necessary. Once all this CV19 stuff clears up enough to allow life to return to semi-normal, we'll touch base again. You are free to name it/him/her as you see fit, as we have not yet had any bonding time.

Apologies to spouse unit if this unexpected request places too much demand upon your time. <insert evil-Rich laugh here>

Thank you so much for entrusting me with your parcel. I shall care for it meticulously.

I should have added a "PS"

PS. I am not liable for any damage to couches, pillows, other household items or for any personal injuries acquired as a result of playtime.

Razor: Hybrid Kai/Feather clone with scalloped cheeks - Kai ProGuard (1)
Soap: Y
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop: Griffin
Brush: Frank Shaving “Macy”
AS/EdT: Barbasol

Comments: Needing a nice cool water shave after a rather disappointing Home repair gone awry due to the plague. inSinkerator disposals are supposed to be dire swaps, but alas, the discharge tube placed the end of the pipe almost 2 inches short. Alas, Home Despot and Walled off Mart we’re both either closed or closing by the time I needed them. So no kitchen sink tonight.

The Hardware: I’ve not looked at Kai nor Feather to see if any of them had scalloped cheeks. If not. This could easily stand its own in the shave with my SS or any of the other clones I have tried.

The Software: Y is an amalgamation of samples, ends and bits of dozens of soaps, lovingly mixed and squashed together in a tub. (some might call it clown puke) what surprises me every time I go to the puke is just how pleasant is smells and how well it performs. It has quite a wide water band and is quite slick. Being it is likely a Tallow and Glycerine soap it should has no choice to be extra slick.

The Shave: Two passes tonight was all I needed to get to a satisfying DFS+ the soap and razor played together very nicely! I went with a truncated shave as I arrived at smoothland so quickly, and because I’m still a little miffed my town rolls up the sidewalks at 8pm.
