Rich's Journal: Adventures with Life and Sharp things

Razor: AC Unbranded Folder (scalloped sides) / Kai ProGuard
Soap: Pannacrema Nuavia Rosa
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop:
Brush: Sorrentino Anniversary Badger
AS/EdT:

Comments: Yup did it again and messed up the record and stop buttons. Love love love Pannacrema Rosa! Almost as much as the Blu!

The Hardware: This razor I’m unsure if it’s a clone or a mish mash of features. It has the General shape kind of between the Kai Captain and Feather Artist Club SS. It has the ‘lips’ like the SS and scallops on the faces of the leaves. Together they are terrific! U sing a Kai blade of unknown number of uses, I got a great shave

The Software: Pannacrema... nuff said

The Shave: in my own defense, I did suffer a brain injury. I sometimes forget and mess stuff up. The vid was a great huge fail that I made the best of. I got an epic shave though! You all missed a pretty boring in depth explanation of my illness. So thank goodness for little miracles! I may be missing off and on this spring as I appear to have come out of remission. I smell amazing in the meantime!

Razor: Blackland Vector / Kia guard
Soap: PdP 63
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop:
Brush: Techichi Hive Synthetic
AS/EdT: PdP 63

Comments: A quick 2 pass before leaving for the funeral of a dear friends Mom. As we grew up, I never really transitioned to calling her ”Judy”. The best I could come up with was “Mrs. Freds Mom”.

The Hardware: Vectah!

The Software: 63 has been getting a lot of love this week so... I give in to peer pressure pretty easy.

The Shave: A quick two with an incredible razor. With PdP 63 leading the way, I finish as smooth as I can be. It’s the best I can be...for Judy..

You had the scent to complete it. I needs some of that. I’m sure it smells great too.

Razor: Azuma Kamisori
Soap: Duke Cannon Creme
Scuttle: Face Lather
Strop: Griffin
Brush: Maggard Synthetic
AS/EdT: Duke Cannon After Shave Balm

Comments: Haven’t had a Kamisori out in quite a while. @woodpusher provided a fine specimen a while ago and it gets the call. Also trying a commercial grade shave Creme by Duke Cannon. I viewed this brand as a novelty brand a while back, but here it is, and I’m not afraid.

The Hardware: This Kamisori comes from the Yasugi iron sands of Japan is a very high grade steel, but not like the Tamahagane steel famous for Japanese swords and stuff. I finished this blade on. Jnat the stripped the bejeezus out of it. It’s a tree topper for sure.

The Software: Duke Cannon Shave Creme closely resembles Proraso Cremes in its texture from the tube. Smearing it on my face may not have been optimal, despite the directions. I would either bowl lather or apply the creme to a brush for lathering. It made a mess and wasted product. It does create a passable lather, capable of a Kamisori Shave. I was not initially impressed by the Aftershave Balm, as it felt like hand lotion on my face. It did eventually absorb with minimal fragrance. Still feels a bit greasy several hours later. It’s now a hand creme for me. This software combo is quite subtly scented to the point of being “tactical”

The Shave: it’s been a few moons since I’ve shaved with a full on Kami and I was a touch nervous about causing fluid leakage. The geometry of the blade is such that when you approach the critical angle, you can feel it start to gather some flesh to fillet. On the Back-hand side it’s just like using a wedge razor. I was pretty cautious on my neck and it hurt the overall shave Score. Most of my face came out shiny and smooth, but my neck is not quite as I like it. I give this one a qualified DFS.
