I have been quite remiss in posting to my journal. I've been locked in mortal combat with a shoulder that isn't making progress that I would like. As a result I'm spending more time scanning the pages and touching "like" rather than typing touch and peck style. It's an excuse, and not a reason I know. So in lieu of catching up, I'll just make an entry and continue as I can. We booked ourselves on a Sea Cruise this August to the US Northeast and Canada for 9 days of eating excellence. I'm sure more cool stuff will be to do as well, but riding on a Cruise Ship will necessitate at least some at sea shaving. I plan on taking a Travel Tech and a couple of soaps. I don't think it would be prudent to attempt a straight shave at sea. (so I'll probably pack the SS) I anticipate there will be WiFi available at each landfall and perhaps on the ship so I can upload pictures and shaves. In the meantime, 110 Days to go.
Working against fatigue for this shave as I find myself over-training my shoulder and making it sore, and because of the soreness, I try to stretch and train some more. An evil cycle that I haven't trained the cats to stop me from doing.

The Hardware: I refreshed this razor on an ILR freshly lapped (Thanks Sam @woodpusher ) I don't think I've ever experienced a razor 'sticking' to the stone other than a touch of resistance when the blade passes through the stream of water. If that is all it is, then this razor is there. It is tree-topping and freshly stropped on FireHose and then on this excellent strop I got from Chris H (@cmh737 ). The strop's extra width eliminates the need for x strokes and assures I get the whole edge stropped.
The Sorrentino is a solid performer and is in top form today

The Shave: First WTG with the Genco goes pretty much as planned. I switched to the Super Speed for the XTG passes and encounter the very sharp, but less than refined edge of the Kai Stainless. It performs well, but not particularly smoothly. I will probably be back to my regular blades for the next shave. I get my DFS+ out of 3 passes with some minor irritation on my neck. Off to PT and then gonna treat myself to Chick Fil-a.

Which cruise like there Captain Rich?
We're doing the Royal Caribbean this time. They let us apply the coupon we got from the Orlando trip. That and the senior discount didn't hurt. My only other cruise was on Norwegian for a Millennial cruise in 1999-2000 New Year. I gained significant weight on that cruise. I am curious of what all changed over the years in Cruising.

For the past couple of months, Friday has been Date Night and we meet another couple at our local rib joint and visit and enjoy succulent, delicious ribs. He was my First Sargent back in my Army days and, excepting Kristi, we are all retired and don't get out much. On returning home, we were puzzled that our garage door wouldn't open. Turns out the power was out and we were locked out of the house! I guess a tree must have fallen over and took out the power to our development.

The Hardware: With all the love the Vector has been getting lately, I had out my most bulky of razors, the Futur. It is not only chunky, it is quite heavy. But it is an able shaver.

The Software: A&E Grecian Horse is probably a little heavy handed for a Spring shave, but it was in front so there you have it.

The Shave: No drama three pass shave. This is a pretty efficient razor that is a bit on the harsh side. I guess that's why it doesn't see more face time. DFS in 3 passes.

Alas! Had to call in the locksmith. I did too good a job of fortifying the house. :cautious: We were fortunate I accidentally left a back porch door unlocked. I’m thinking an auto start generator is in our future.
