Nice shave! The scent sounds like something up my alley. I’m a sucker for barbershop style scents.
I’m in the same boat with the lawn. I was going to try and wait until the weekend, but it’s at the point where it’s borderline offensive lol. Looks like I’ll be mowing after work today.

this is def a fine barbershop scent - it is on the modern side, if that is such a thing, not like your Clubman or Azzaro Pour Homme. i like both stylesNice shave! The scent sounds like something up my alley. I’m a sucker for barbershop style scents.

I will be a true fan with the Phils - root for them until they break my heart at the end of the season lol - then they back to being the Sillies until next Spring Break - then “we’re going to the World Series” Wash Rinse Spin repeat

I’m a fan of both takes on the barbershop scent. I lean one way or the other depending on the day lol.
I do the same thing with the Phils. I’ll hang on until the last game of the season with hope…then trash talk all off season until March haha!

An old fashioned push reel mower - now that's something I've only ever seen my dad use in old photos from his childhood! I'm hoping your lot is extremely small Brian because even mowing my .25 acre would be an insane task with that mower!
It is small luckily- takes about 10 minutes doing two opasses front and back. I had an old power mower - but to be honest, just the pain of running to get gas made it worth switching to a reel once the power one died
We looked into a reel mower a few years back, but our yard is too lumpy from tree roots and such.
That definitely would make it a pain in the butt to use. I once saw a real mower with a motor - I didn’t under - why not get a regular mower at that point?
I thought I heard that reel movers with sharp blades are much better for cutting short lawns. In fact isn't that what they use for golf greens?
That could very well be true - I can see that because of the method of turn (up/down vs circular) and curve if the blade.

Yes indeed, the powered reel mowers are used for cutting greens and are what "true" lawn care nuts are crazy enough to use on their own houses. They are NOT cheap! But it's the only way to get grass SUPER short but you need an extremely level lawn to use one otherwise you end up scalping the crap out of it. There's a popular lawn care guy on YouTube whose front yard is a type of rye grass and he reel mows it. Obviously the shorter you keep the grass, the more attention it needs to prevent weeds, disease, drought, etc. Not something I'm looking to do any time soon!

ok, I fully admit it - I bought both the soap & the AS based on their labels which is never a good idea. Reading the notes of the soap - it normally would not be in my wheelhouse - Leather, ozone, blackberry, amber, and ginger - but in the magical way that Kelly from BSG does - he finds a way to make it work. For the AS, let me just say that I own many soaps and AS from Pinnacle- he does a fantastic job. But for this AS I can’t describe correctly- it’s just there……
Top: Bergamot,Grapefruit,Lemon,Blackcurrant,Mint,Orange blossom
Heart: Rose,Jasmine,Tuberose,Lily of the valley
Base: Balsam,Ambergris,Myrrh,Vanilla extract,Sandalwood,Musk,Patchouli, Oakmoss,Civet
As you can also see, I got myself a new photo editor toy, so I’ve actually photographed my next several shaves already. Bonus!
I’ve made a lot of jokes because I need to to quell what is raging inside me.
on a more somber note, I can’t not journal my feelings from yesterday. There is absolutely no need for what happened. Period. I simply cannot understand how 3/4 of $1 trillion a year towards our military does not by us the ability to safely extract all our Americans and our allies that helped us in a way of our choosing. I simply cannot understand the utter lack of planning and the political hubris that we’ve seen not just in this extraction which was an absolute cluster, but also for all the money we have put towards our intelligence agencies as well as all the Constitutionally guaranteed rights we’ve given up with such lunatic laws such as the Patriot Act, that those things did not by us the ability to prevent this.
It is heartbreaking for me that the sacrifices that not only our county has made, but also of our sons and daughters, and friends - many of them on this site- have been disregarded. I will never say for naught - as work such as those from Don - did give the women and children 20 years of reprieve - it also showed the Afghans what is possible and that offers hope.
But make no mistake- this is a failure of 4 Presidents, 1 VP, and 10 Congresses. And this administration had all the ability to learn from the mistakes and chose to ignore them. we as a country deserve better As well as our military deserve and deserved better. I will continue to call my representatives and demand that we correc our errs.
i have said my piece and I appreciate the forum to do so. I will strive to make this a great day for my family and my Cadre friends.

Another great shave using the Tatara. This is another Barbershop scent which are definitely in my wheelhouse. While the agent from earlier in the week did evoke a more upscale type of stylist - this is definitely reminiscent of Saturdays at the town barber (yes @NurseDave - I do remember those wonderful days of having my wavy licks cut
). This scent is warm and inviting- Scent notes: Tonka bean, amber, powder, guaiac wood, cedar, sandalwood, dash of vanilla. As mentioned in a previous post - 345 has Fresh Cut Fade - this is less sweet than that - choosing between the two - I like this one better. The powder note is present, but not overwhelming. Chanel’s AHSEE does pair perfectly with this shave.
We’re going to Urban Air this morning then a Kiwi Co project this afternoon. If the evenin is cooler - the river walk sounds like a perfect wrap up.

I’m not sure if I should start worrying already about the Flyers season - Aqua Man just confirmed he was a Flyers fan. I have two huge concerns - (1) Aqua Man swims in liquid water - which makes it difficult to skate and (2) during his quote he actually gave props to Pittsburgh - no true Flyers Fan recognizes Pittsburgh as anything but the evil empire with Sidney Crybaby Crosby as their emperor
