Day one of back to being with the commoners. Oh do I miss the power and prestige. I should have crushed everyone when I had the chance……What? Oh, ooops - this is my shave journal not my diary. My bad.

Great shave - love the scents - the soap and AS pair well. This soap is a collaboraction with K Shave Worx and TRC. I think K Shave does a great job with fruit scents. The soap is an homage to the Tom Ford fragrance of the same name. Nice summery feeling overall…… Of all the fragrances I have - I don’t have one with a peach note - but the A&F First Instint has both a melon note and some booziness that compliment the notes in the soap & AS.

Aidan got up at 6 - he reminds me of me when I was his age - I was always an early riser - plus I had swim practice early in the AM and I also had to ride my bike to get to the town pool. My other kids are typical teens - you have to get them out of bed with a crowbar. Jack does work a lot of hours fir his age - so I’ll cut him some slack lol.

Aidan and I took advantage of the early start and went to Urban Air. This afternoon we have a Kiwi Co project planned. My Phil’s are still hovering just above .500 - they have a stint in my favorite city this weekend - San Diego!

And I know that it is still pre-season - but I am taking some joy out of the dumpster fire that is the Eagles start 😂!

Sunday Brunch shave!

Razor: Tedalus Essence
Blade: Feather Pro Soft Guard Artist Club
Brush: Boti Brush Classic Stable Wood & Green Resin
Lather: Catie’s Bubbles Summer Solstice (SFWS)
Aftershave: Catie’s Bubbles Summer Solstice
Additional Care: Tommy Bahama For Him EdC

my favorite meals are Thanksgiving in Sunday brunches! As we wind down the summer, we got a take time to enjoy the little things.

The shave is the epitome of a Sunday brunch. Citrus, melon, and sandalwood. Tommy Bahama for Him cologne perfectly matches the feeling and the scent notes.

have a great Sunday everyone!

two great shaves to cool down in this heat! Apex Alchemy nailed these two scents. And I dig the tri-color soap of the rocket pop soap. I did a Frankenstein mix of aftershaves for my post shave just for fun

Not much else to report today

have a great day my friends!

Great shave today. The gist of the scent - or at least the intent is to provide the feeling of an ”upscale” barbershop. Which to me, is kind of ironic, because to me, you go to a barbershop not to be upscale otherwise it’s a stylist or a spa. I do think the scent is in the realm of a “Barbershop scent“ - it does have that talcum powder note. I liken it to the 345 Soap Fresh Cut Fade - but with the sweetness toned down a little. Overall the soap & splash pair well with JPG Le Male - which is up there on my list of fav frags - and to me truly is a Barbershop scent.

Last night I went out in a rush due to a weather alert to mow the lawn. My grass was just at the level between cut and wait a day - but with some rain and this heat would go straight to a pain in the butt to mow. I think my neighbors thought I was strange mowing to the light coming from the porch light (though luckily no noise - I have one if the old fashioned non-engime mowers). Then the weather had the nerve NOT to rain. The nerve!

My Phils are hanging right at .500 which apparently is what having the 5th highest payroll in baseball gets you.

‘Have a fantastic day!
