What’s the deal with BSB? I’ve read in multiple places that you shouldn’t use it in a “good” pen and to never mix it with other ink.

I’ve only read similar anecdotal reports, so I don’t know for sure. Pen guys whose opinions I trust implicitly ave also told me the same thing, so I’m going with it.

Wow, I pretty much forgot about any ink other than black. Only black ink was engrained in me back when nurses still did paper documentation.

There are many good ones. I have had good luck with Sailor nano Blue-Black, deAtramentis Benjamin Franklin, and J. Herbin 1670 Bleu Ocean (among others, but these stand out for both appearance and performance). My favorite among the lighter blue inks for appearance and performance are Iroshizuku Asa Gao and J. Herbin Eclat de Saphir.
