Pens, inks and related.....

I haven't seen any handwriting worse than mine so far...... No I just gotta find some time to get out a pen and prove it to y'all.

Quick note for you pen junkies. I was doing some interviews yesterday and the attorney for the guy we were talking to was taking notes with a fountain pen. This isn't all that unusual...though during our deposition like interviews most of the attorneys prefer a roller ball or ball point. But when I do come across someone who is using a fountain pen...it's usually to impress or whatnot. So nine times out of ten it happens to be a Mont Blanc or something of the sort. They also use regular old legal pads and by the end of the interview there is ink all smudged everywhere. This is actually my aversion to fountain pens. I just can't get them to write on regular old paper. Anyway...this attorney was using the Pilot Varsity Pen. The disposable one. I was really impressed that the ink didn't smear all over the place at all! Anyway...just a quick aside!

Good thoughts Don. I assume the quality of ink (dry time) makes as much a difference as the pen selection but I'm new to this stupid rabbit hole,,,,,,,

My experience with fountain pens hasn't been all that great. I like the idea of them. But if I use them...I want to use them in practical situations. I guess I just don't have the patience for them. But the one's I have tried have been awful on regular paper. That's why I never really got into them. You might be right...but I just never figured it out. As cheep as the Pilot Varsity pens are...I might give it a try...especially after what I saw yesterday.

I'll try and grab a snapshot of one of my game cards that I use on the field during a football game. It is a mixture of chicken scratch, shorthand, english, and random symbols. But it all makes sense to me.
