I'm sure he has therapists working with him but has he tried writing instead of speaking? It uses a different area of the brain and sometimes can help.

Yes, actually. He can write with no problem, so it's mainly an issue of speaking on the phone. Both my sister and I are hours away and his wife is keeping a pretty tight bubble, so I haven't seen him in person.

I took a few days off from the Internet, and it was pretty therapeutic. I got a new Fender Player Series Precision Bass, and have been spending a lot of time playing it. It's nice to have a bass again! Today's shave was on 48 hours growth, and it was delightful! I'm using Stirling Christmas Eve exclusively in the lead up to the 25th, and it definitely fosters the Christmas spirit.

I've been using the Karve exclusively for the past week, and I'm getting the hang of it. I ordered the OC C and D plates this morning, and if past is any guide, I should be enjoying them in Feb! I also ordered a bunch of soaps. With shipping the way it is, who knows when they'll get here. It was a great shave this morning, and I feel great!

It's a Fender Precision Players Series - a wonderful gift from some friends of mine. They also got me a nice little Vox amp that's perfectly sized for practicing in my room. It's filled me with Christmas cheer. I haven't had an instrument to play since I moved here to take care of my mother, so it's been wonderful to play again!

I am watching 10 soaps crawling through the mail system this week. Tonight I ordered A &E NYC from the Shaving Shop Club. I've really become taken with A&E. I've liked everything except the original Kaizen Scent, but loved Cuban Highball and Asian Plum. I have 5 incoming. Barbiere Sofisticado, Peaches and Cognac, Amber Rose, Turkish Coffee, and NYC. I love the base. My other 5 are from assorted vendors, Stirling, Grooming Dept, Soap Commander, PAA, and one other I can't think of right now. I've really been impressed with The Razor Company. Free shipping for orders $10 and up, a nice selection, and they include a free Fresh Shave little tree air freshener, which makes the car smell nice.

I'm still alive, I've just been taking a break from the internet for a bit of a mental health break. I'll have more to say soon, but today's noteworthy event was my first use of Ariana and Evans Peach and Cognac, which may rival Roasted Oatmeal Stout for my favorite fragrance. I'd put them as 1 and 1a.
