I have to ask @BarberDave ... What does cilantro smell like. I thought it was something in the parsley or oregano type genre. If it's mixed with Pineapple and banana, I have to be wrong.

So it either smells like:

pineapple, lemon, and banana

or

That sounds like a crapshoot. Lol.

I read an article once that said that the perception of cilantro as soapy was genetically predisposed. Then, when I took the 23andMe genetic profile, they predicted that I would perceive cilantro as soapy. They were right.

Good morning all!

For today's shave I'm heading west for a soap with a scent that as dry as the city it's made in at 3pm on a sunny day in July; Phoenix Shaving's "Solstice".

Notes of Sage, Sweetgrass, Cedar & Rose Absolute along with Benzoin Resin.

Great shave. The CK-6 base is magic in a jar! Finished with a splash of Ogallala Bay Rum, Sage & Cedar.
