I believe that can be fixed with a vent opening in the back. Could be useful.

Great mid-morning shave today. Returned to my vintage Shulton Old Spice shave soap, aftershave lotion, talc and EdC. Great old school scent with phenomenal lather built with the Ever-Ready C40 Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by the matching aftershave lotion, talc & EdT.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Chill day in progress. Have another show with the country band this evening.

Great late morning shave today. Returned to my vintage Colgate Cup Soap. Not much scent detectable, but a great lather built with the Simpson "Chubby" 1 Best Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by vintage "English Leather" aftershave lotion & EdC.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Whew! Feeling it this morning. Shoulders and lower back were really screaming this morning. A great shave and coffee are helping.

Going with a couple from Cleveland, Ohio rockers the Michael Stanley Band. I never understood why this group wasn't a bigger hit. Hope you enjoy.
Great shave this morning. Returned to Stirling Soap Co, and their excellent "Bay Laurel" shave soap and splash. Nice warm scent with notes of bay laurel, orange, nutmeg and cinnamon. I can detect some clove in there as well though it isn't listed. The wife really liked it, which is something! Great lather built with the Moon Soaps "Green Zebra" synth for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '67 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by the matching aftershave lotion & Murray and Lanman "Florida Water" EdC.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Monday... Blah! At least I'm off-call. Warmer too so that's nice.

Going with a couple of classics from British singer and actor, Cliff Richard today. Hope you enjoy.
Great shave this morning. Returned to Saponificio Varesino and their excellent "Cubebe" shave soap and ASL. Wonderful scent with a citrus top that morphs into a woody sweetness in the drydown. Great lather built with the Paladin "PK-47" 2-Band Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '57 Gillette Red Tip and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by the matching aftershave lotion, a dusting of Yardley "Gentleman Classic" talc & Chanel "Bleu de Chanel" Parfum.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Had to change out my blade this morning. Needed something to use until the beginning of the the "One Blade Challenge" this Saturday. Popped in a Voskhod Sunday and it was terrible. Lots of dragging and tugging and so today I loaded a Gillette Nacet with much better results.

It's "Women of Rock Wednesday" and today I'm revisiting Siouxsie and the Banshees. Hope you enjoy.
Great shave this morning. My tube of vintage Palmolive Lather Shave Cream arrived a couple of days ago and I tried it for the first time this morning. Was a little apprehensive when I went squeezed some product out because it had liquified quite a bit and was worried I wouldn't be able to build a usable lather. As it turns out, my fears were unfounded. Lovely, voluminous lather built with the Paladin "PK-47" 2-Band Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '49 Gillette Executive and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by Aqua Velva "Musk" aftershave lotion.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: 41° walking out the door this morning! So nice not to have to scrape frost off the windows. Heading all the way up to 60° today! Love it!!!

Great shave this morning. New soap / splash day with the arrival of "King" soap and splash from Noble Otter. This was the generous gift from @novicewetshaver for winning the last Bingo game (thanks again brother!). Great scent! A powdery, slightly sweet musk offset by notes of cedar with light oakmoss anchoring it. Incredibly creamy and slick lather built with the Wild West Brushworks synth for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '59 Gillette Fatboy, and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by the matching aftershave lotion and Creed "Tabarome" EdP.

Best shave of the week this morning! Inspired by @BarberDave and his "Death by Fougère" shaves this week, I had to do one of my own. And because I'll be beginning the Williams Mug Soap Challenge tomorrow, today was the only opportunity for the next month or so. Fan-fougère-tastic scent from the Martin De Candre "Fougère" shave soap. First lather with a synth brush and I was amazed with how easy the brush loaded. Sometimes synths aren't the best choice for use with harder soaps but this was surprisingly easy. Incredibly creamy and slick lather built with the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Peregrino" synth for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette Super Speed, and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by Pitralon Classic aftershave lotion and Penhaligon's "English Fern" EdT.

No detectable scent from the soap, but fan-freakin-tastic lather built with the Semogue SOC Premium Boar brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette Super Speed, and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by Floris "No.89" aftershave lotion, a dusting of Clubman talc and Floris "No.89" EdT.

Didn't mention it earlier but in addition to the Williams Challenge I'm also doing the One Blade challenge. Had been using a Gillette Nacet the last few days and last night I popped a fresh Wizamet into the Gillette Super Speed. When I went to shave this morning the first pass was so smooth it felt like there wasn't a blade in the razor. I literally had to check to make sure it was in there! Love those blades!
