Great shave this morning. Returned to Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements and their excellent "Astro Traveler" shave soap & splash. Great autumnal scent with notes of Bergamot, Grapefruit, Spiced Orange Zest, Black Pepper, Nutmeg, Saffron, Oakwood, Vetiver, and Tobacco. Fantastic lather built with the Wild West Brushworks "Cu29" Sweet Spot badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Red Tip and I finished with the matching aftershave splash and vintage Pierre Cardin "Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur" EdC.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Great weekend other than the near coronary I experienced Saturday night watching the Alabama / Georgia game. Still recovering!

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Not much going on. Works still progressing on the master bath. Will be SOOOOO glad when it's done.

Great traditional Italian almond / marzipan scent and fantastic lather built with the Paladin "PK-47" 2-Band Select Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Red Tip and I finished with Floid "Mentolado Vigoroso" aftershave splash and Acqua di Parma "Colonia Intensa" EdC

Great scent and fantastic lather built with the Wild West Brushworks "Samurai" Sweet Spot badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Red Tip and I finished with Williams "Aqua Velva" after shave splash and Mont Blanc "Presence" EdT.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Contractor says the master bath should be finished this week. A few more tiles to place and then on to grouting.

Fantastic shave this morning. Overslept and nearly skipped today. That would have been a shame because today's shave is in the running for best of the week! Returned to TOBS "Lime Zest" cream with its tart, crisp scent and excellent lather built with the Brad Sears "Gus" 2-Band Select Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's "Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind" witch hazel toner, followed by vintage MEM "English Leather Lime" aftershave and Dana "English Leather" EdC.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Follow up with the doc today with my back (the older injury, not the latest). Guess I must have slept wrong last night because my lower back is killing me. A great shave and hot coffee is helping.
