Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
It's "Women of Rock Wednesday" and today I'm doubling up by going with a song featuring two all-female bands at once. Hope you enjoy.
Fantastic shave this morning. Returned to Martin de Candre and their excellent "Nature" shave soap. Nice, light, clean soapy scent with excellent lather built with the Wild West Brushworks "Samurai" Sweet Spot Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's "Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind" witch hazel toner, followed by vintage Avon "Spicy" aftershave splash and Amouage "Jubilation XXV" EdP.

Going with a couple from Jersey rockers, The Smithereens today. Hope you enjoy.
Great shave this morning. Returned to Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements and their excellent "Astro Traveler" shave soap & splash. Great scent and fantastic lather built with the Wild West Brushworks "Cu29" Sweet Spot badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with Quinn's ""Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind" witch hazel, followed by the matching aftershave splash and Czech & Speake "Frankincense & Myrrh" EdP.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Some wonderful autumnal days this week with more to come. Highs in the 70's and low 80's with very low humidity. Loving it!!!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Closing out the workweek with a new track from Aussie guitarist / composer, Plini. Hope you enjoy.
Not the best shave this morning. Was able to locate a couple of pucks of the old Burt's Bees "Bay Rum" shave soap from back in the day. I had used this in the past when I first began traditional wet shaving and thought the soap left quite a bit to be desired. Over the years I wondered if the soap was truly sub par or if the disappointing lather was the result of my inexperience. Used it today and yep, the soap is pretty bad. Great scent but with a thin, whispy lather which offered no cushion. However, the lather was slick enough to prevent today's shave from being a complete train wreck. Looks like it will be relegated to the sink for hand-washing duty. Two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Super Speed and I finished with Quinn's "Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind" witch hazel, followed by Barberry Coast "No.28 Bay Rum" aftershave splash and "Bay Rum" EdP.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Grouting is finished on the master bath. Now we just need new toilet installed and it should be finished!

Late post. Busy day. But it started off great with a wonderful Shulton "Old Spice" shave. Fantastic old school scent and lather built with the Paladin "PK-47" 2-Band Select Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette Red Tip and I finished with vintage Shulton "Old Spice" aftershave splash, talc and EdC
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Busiest on-call weekend I've have in a while. Paycheck will look good!

Great shave this morning. Returned to Saponificio Varesino and their excellent "Dolomiti" shave soap & ASL. Great scent and fantastic lather built with the Brad Sears "Gus" 2-Band select badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Gillette British No58 and I finished with the matching aftershave lotion and Creed "Tabarome Millésime" EdP.
