\n\nThanks Sharp!\n\nLongevity is something I’ve come to expect from my blades as a part of their reliability, quality, and value. If something is only lasting me a few of five shaves, I’ve either got a dud or it’s not a worthy buy.
 
Proraso Red is definitely a nice Sandalwood scent! And looking forward to your impressions of the inbound razors.

Great shave today. Astra SP’s freshness was a marked improvement over yesterday’s shave. I’m beginning to not like the wax bumps, at least when placed in razors like the Baby Smooth which has a cap that is ridged on the bottom/inside. Just a minor annoyance though. All else is well and sitting at at least 90%+ BBS.

Since Thanksgiving, we’ve had at least a couple of days with rainy weather. It’s been very pleasant; not too cold yet and the days are just warm enough if there’s no wind.

All my packages for PIFs and Christmas buddy are packed up and ready to mail. Hope to get them out by Friday! Exciting!

Nice shave today, on this, my Wednesday of the work week. Decided to pull out the bay rum accoutrements for that nice, warming scent on this cold, blustery, rainy day.

The Astra doesn’t feel quite up to par today, though the results were good. I find that the blades that come out of my Baby Smooth and go into other razors for more use, tend to feel quickly degraded. I still suspect it has something to do with the Baby Smooth’s extreme blade bend and cutting angle. No science to back that up though. This Astra may get binned soon.

The storming last night/early morning was crazy! High winds, heavy rainfall...needless to say, I woke up quite a bit. The yard looks like a hurricane passed through. I do hope I get the chance to do some maintenance if the sun manages to pop out for a couple of days. The rain should carry on through most of the day though, with more chances as the week progresses. We need it!
