Free Shave Day:
Gear: RR Game Changer .68, Super-Max Super Platinum blade (5), RR Big Bruce synth, CBL Barbershop soap, generic witch hazel, Fine Platinum AS, and Fine Platinum EdT to close!
Up ultra early this morning to get to the church grounds before RTFTH (still ended up not making it before the police closed the streets down, they have a tendency to close them earlier than they’re supposed to). So a good bit tired and also under the weather since the end of my shift last night.
Only took in the GC as a result, but ended up with a great shave at least! It’s going to be a long day, but one done with family, a hot meal, and a warm house, which is more than some have. Definitely much to be thankful for today!

Free Shave Day:
Gear: RR Baby Smooth, Astra SP blade (1), AOS Genuine Badger brush, La Toja shave stick soap, generic witch hazel, Fine Platinum AS, and Fine Platinum EdT to close!
Was able to sleep in a tad. Still under the weather a bit.
Serviceable travel shave with the normal travel gear. Baby Smooth was a tad harsh, it’s been a while since I used it last and it’s so drastically different from my other razors in terms of angles. Irritation wasn’t too bad though. I did forget a bowl to soak the brush in, so the lathering took some work but came out decent.
Had a great Turkey Day yesterday! After RTFTH, which was insane in how many people came through, we packed up and headed to the parents/in-laws. Over the course of the day I saw my half-sister and her daughter, who I haven’t seen in many, many years. Saw one set of grandparents. Saw sisters in-law and their husbands/boyfriends and kiddos. Had a ton of great food of course. Partook in some adult beverages. Just an all around good day!
While at my parents’ house, I was finally able to hand over my dad’s shaving PIF box, which was way better received than I anticipated. Showed my dad how to load the blades, work up lather, etc. It was pretty fun to share that!
Heading back home later later this evening, but until then, just chilling at the in-laws and grubbin on more food!

Really cool to see you getting your Dad involved Chris! My dad went back to a DE for about 2 days and then decided he didn’t want to deal with them anymore. That’s what he learned on, and he also learned how to straight shave as a barber, but he prefers carts. I guess It’s a convenience thing for him.

Safely back home late last night, decent night’s rest, and one shift to get through today before my normal days off.
Back to the normal, favored set up this morning as I prepare to head out. 3 passes with the normal 2:1 split between razors. The Tabac whipped up a perfect, almost elite, nice, thick, and slick lather today. Brut Fresh capped it off with a nice light, brighter Brut scent.
Have a great, relaxing Saturday all!
