If you have to do something...

Got bored, lathered up some Williams (no thanks to KJ). Good lord that is slickness! And the scent? If only it were about 50 times stronger...wonderful. I know it a modern puck, but no complaints so far!

I soaked the puck for about 5 minutes, then did a little less than a 10 second load with my damp Big Bruce. Had a moderate lather worked up on my hand in a couple minutes; enough for at least 3 passes.

Lather was still on the thin side a bit, but likely workable.

Only 10 seconds?

That’s all it took!

Mind you I did not shave, this was just a test lather for this morning; experimenting with Chris’ idea to use it as a part of prep, Doug seems to be enjoying it!

What I built up looked to be good enough for shaving though.

I know right? It’s like those kids that complain all week that they’re tired waking up early for school, then when Saturday comes, they’re up at the same time anyway, chomping breakfast, blaring cartoons, and bursting into mom and dads room.

Oh, you thought I was referring to Chad...

Open Blade Shave #206:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (1), Gillette Slim L4 (setting 2), Sheffield Super Stainless blade (4), RR Big Bruce synth, Williams soap (modern), generic witch hazel, St. Charles Shave Patchouli AS, and Pinaud Citrus Musk Cologne to finish!

Not a bad shave today. Williams will indeed make a great preshave lather; still have a lot of learning to do to make it a good shaving lather though. Today was a win overall.

Open Blade Shave #207:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (2), Gillette Slim L4 (setting 2), Sheffield Super Stainless blade (5), RR Big Bruce synth, LNHC Coconut Oud soap, generic witch hazel, and RR The Stallion to close!

Pretty nice shave this quiet morning after dropping the family off to their posts.

Normal 3 passes and split. The Coconut Oud lather was on point. I still seem to have a slightly heavy first pass lather though, whereas the other passes are perfection. I forgot to try the Williams preshave lather. I must remember that tomorrow!

Seeing Chad’s Stallion shave this morning before the shave, reminded me that I have the AS still, languishing in my AS drawer. I’ve been trying and enjoying so many new things, I haven’t rotated back much to my older products. So, since I used the Coconut Oud soap, I thought I’d see how The Stallion paired with it today. Not bad! The Smokey coconut scent cuts under The Stallion’s more snappy, spice laden main Oud notes. The Stallion is strong juice. I like it still!

Back to work today. Still a bit exhausted from last week’s wrap up and also have been staying up a bit late to spend time with the missus while she does her schoolwork. This week shouldn’t be so busy as last though I believe. There is the annual church Trunk-or-treat this Saturday, so everyone is looking forward to that. This week is also my Dad’s and eldest son’s birthdays, so figuring out what to do with them as well!

I’ve at least gotten my Dad’s shaving PIF/birthday box mostly ready. Just have to find a way to get it to him!

Have a great Tuesday all!
