Open Blade Shave #201:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (14), RR Game Changer .68, Voskhod blade (9), RR Big Bruce synth, SS Citrus & Bay soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, and Bootlegger’s Bay Rum to finish!

What better way to follow up your 200th open blade shave...than by getting a jump on your next 100? No time to stop...300 is calling!

Back to the normal gear today. I think once the Voskhod quits, I’m going to swap the GC for a little while; some of my other DEs are languishing in the den. I’m glad I don’t have too many, I’d never get around to using some!

Typical 3 pass split in razors. The Feather felt ultra smooth today. The Voskhod only a little less so. The soap is a proven performer, so needless to say the lather was on point today. I had a good 5 passes worth after a 10 second load on a slightly bloomed tub.

I revisited the Bootlegger’s BR. The week’s rest has definitely improved the mixture as KJ promised. It’s very smooth and the VIBR has come out to the forefront a bit more. It’s still not the extreme aromatic projection that VIBR has, but it is a good compromise I think for everyone else’s nose! Interested to see longevity throughout the day!

Back to work today and it’s going to be quite busy this week!

We did get some not good news this morning after a visual electrical inspection. We may be sinking in some major money into fixing some serious issues we were unaware of since moving in. Unexpected and a bit disappointing to say the least.

Hope your Tuesday is developing better than mine!

That is definitely a bummer! Maybe get a second opinion?

Lol, this is true!

We may, for the heck of it, but between the refusal of the insulators to do work, a couple electrical issues over the last few months, and this inspection, I’m sure it’s not too far off.

NIce read Chris. Hopefully the repairs aren't too bad.

Thanks Chad!

Chris' next stunt shave, shaving in the dark. Home repair things are usually a kick in the stuff. Not on the radar and doesn't usually improve anything past where the performance was before. Sorry man.

Yes, no fun. Thanks Dave!

So trying to break this sentence down.

Yes, (next stunt shave in the dark) no fun. (home repairs kick in the stuff). Thanks Dave! (sorry man)

So that means Chris is shaving in the dark. This should be interesting.

Yes, no, it would be. ?

Woohoo ... onward to 300! Great stuff Chris! Bummer about the inspection. Can you borrow a night vision camera for the shave in the dark video?

Open Blade Shave #202:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (15), RR Game Changer .68, Voskhod blade (10), RR Big Bruce synth, Cella soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, Osage Rub AS, and Black Box: Brut Fresh AS to finish!

I may have had to put my shave off until 11 A.M. today, but I needed this wake up call!

Normal 3 pass split. Feather is still on point, Voskhod was a little rough today. The Cella is yellowing a bit I noticed, but performing flawlessly.

The Osage got paired perfectly with my Brut Fresh mix, I may mix it permanently and add it to the official ingredients! It’s a slap your face cool burst with a dark Brut vibe underlining it. I’m totally awake!

Had a nice morning coffee with the missus after the kids were dropped off to their respective places. Weather will be a little warm later, but the morning has been very pleasant.

Have a great Wednesday all!

Open Blade Shave #203:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (16), RR Game Changer .68, Voskhod blade (11), RR Big Bruce synth, Proraso Red soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, and Proraso Red AS to finish!

Good shave today, only moderate irritation. Today was definitely the last shave for the Voskhod and the Feather will be moving along soon also I think.

Otherwise, it was my normal 3 passes. I’ll be switching out the GC, not sure for what yet. Perhaps I will bring out the Piccolo for a while? Maybe!

The missus stayed home this morning to rest. She’s been fighting off some junk congestion and headache. So it was up to dear ol dad to put the children through their morning paces and out the door! (I actually got them out to school much earlier than usual, but that’s our secret) ?

Work is gearing up today (not like it hasn’t already been busy) for an event-full weekend. Today and Friday are a bunch of regularly scheduled events plus prep work for the full weekend. Saturday is a second baking day for our annual holiday biscotti sales, the proceeds of which go toward missions work, and also a full day of having orchestral members running about and practicing for a huge concert that night. Then of course normal Sunday prep affairs to follow. At least I won’t be bored!

Have a great Thursday all!
