Free Shave Day:

Gear: GEM Jr., GEM blade (?), RR Big Bruce synth, GD Flight soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, Lucky Tiger AS, and Fine L’Orange Noir AS to finish!

A bit more of a rushed morning than I would have wished for; I knew I was on duty as Chaplain for the morning at services, so I woke up in time to be ready for that, but unfortunately the missus at that time realized she was supposed to be opening the coffee bar at church, which would have required us getting up at least 30 minutes earlier than we did!

Needless to say, I’m glad I did not plan on using the Feather this morning!

I splashed some nice warm water on my face and whipped up a passable lather with the GD soap. A quick two passes (XTG and ATG) with the GEM Jr. Results were good, but could have been better with some extra time. I’m at about 60%+ BBS with the rest DFS+.

Then, I channeled my inner DangerChris and, after my Alum and witch hazel, doubled up on my AS choices for the morning - Lucky Tiger and Fine L’Orange Noir! Excellent pairing!

Today was my first use of L’Orange Noir. I’m just going to say it - I’m making it my goal to have the full line up of Fine AS (or RR equivalents if they at all compare); I’ve yet to be disappointed by a single one. L’Orange was no exception. Orange Dirt is a very accurate nickname for this very pleasant citrus aftershave.

Busy day ahead today between church functions and yard work.

Ya’ll have an blessed Sunday!

Great stuff, Chris. If you like the Orange Dirt, you'll love Terre D'Hermes, the fragrance that inspired it. All the Fine products are almost dead ringers for the frags they are cloned from.

I was trying to remember the name of the frag, thanks!

Good stuff, Chris. I like reading your impressions of the different aftershaves you've been using. Regarding AV: I've always enjoyed the regular blue stuff, but the AV Musk is downright revolting to me - can't stand it for some reason. And Fine Accoutrements definitely makes excellent juice! Although, I still don't get the orange notes in the L'Orange (or the real deal TdH) - all I get is the cedar.

Thanks Chris! The funk of the Musk did take some time to go away. Its one of those smells that is a bit weird but interesting in a weird way. It’s OK once it’s fully integrated into the rest of the scents though.

Ah... Orange Dirt that is great juice!

My apologies for this taking so long to publish. The joys of sharing a computer with people in school!

Thanks for following the journey so far. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed the shave!
