Thanks gents! It was a nice day. Only a few chores I had to take care of, otherwise I got to laze about. The missus made my favorite dinner Hawaiian style fried rice and brownie cupcakes with cherry pie filling for dessert. A pretty win b-day!

OK this Hawaiian fried rice idea sounds great is it rice with pineapples and spam?

All i have to do is load the thrower and shoot in my back yard. I have a full pistol range, 300yd rifle range, archery range and full skeet/clay setup that belongs to me and I decide who goes and when and it only costs me ammo and supplies.

No pineapple, but it does have spam and some brown sugar. It’s a little lighter on the soy sauce that Chinese fried rice and a little sweeter, but just as savory. Instead of frying the egg up separately, it is usually broken up and cooked in with the rice. Further additions are up to the individual - peas, green onion, carrots, celery, or sesame, you can pretty much put anything in there. I could happily eat either style for the rest of my life.

I haven’t been able to convince SWMBO to allow me a handgun or rifle yet, but it’s in the long term plans.
 
Spam is a guilty pleasure of mine. There is a local Hawaiian food truck that makes spam fries. OMG!!!! They are so good.

LOL SWMBO is a gun person and Bow shooter too so it doesn't hurt. I have enough that if someone invades the USA then myself and 95% of my neighborhood (10 mile radius) have enough guns and ammo to hold off a fairly substantial attack force for a good bit of time
 
Open Blade Shave #195:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (9), RR Game Changer .68, Voskhod blade (4), RR Big Bruce synth, Vitos Extra Super soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, and Bootlegger’s Bay Rum to finish!

Welp, after yesterday’s mishap, the Feather and I are back on speaking terms. Took my time today, mum was the word, and the shave came out great!

Normal 3 pass split between razors. Zero irritation or Alum sting today. The Big Bruce whipped the Vitos up really nicely today. The cut from yesterday’s shave, surprisingly, has given me no issues and did not reopen today. I’m sitting at about 85%+ BBS.

Today was the first trial of the BBR AS. For skin feel, it definitely tops just PC VIBR by itself. For scent though, I’m not convinced just yet - the VIBR comes out on top, but it’s a bit muted from its full goodness. More testing required, though I’m leaning toward a full batch using what I have.

Back to work today after that nice 4 day break...what can be said?

It definitely gets better as it sits. They all blend together better over time.

It’s not necessarily the blending I’m worried about, it smells good and is actually a decent compromise for everyone else’s nose, who may not enjoy the scent as much as I (not that I’d understand why). I just liked the scent strength of VIBR better, unless you’re saying that is going to resurface?
