Open Blade Shave #182:
Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (10), RR Game Changer .68, Personna Super blade (3), RR Big Bruce synth, JoHS Turkish Bath (Barbershop) soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, and Stetson Cooling AS to finish.
Well today’s shave started with a bit of irritation/sensitivity on the chin leftover from yesterday’s shave. I think it’s rawness from me pushing it a bit too much then even though I didn’t have my normal growth. So I did 3 passes today, normal split, but I tried to forgo touchup in favor of letting the skin have a slight break. No battle damage today, though my chin is still tender.
If you’ve read my journal previously, you know that JoHS Turkish Bath is one of my current in-den favorites. I thought it would pair well with the out-of-bottle scent of the Stetson; it didn’t quite, thankfully though TB is just a warm clean scent that serves as a backdrop for other things.
That said, Today was my first use of Stetson. Very nice cooling effect. The initial scent after application is a bit reminiscent of the Pinaud line (its amazing how many scents I equate along those lines now). It kept some of the powder, but during cool down mellowed into a light leather, lightly woody scent. It’s very subdued but nice.
Today is my Wednesday. Can’t believe how the days seem to be flying by!
Enjoy your Thursday all!
