Open Blade Shave #170:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (13), RR Game Changer, Super-Max Platinum blade (6), RR Big Bruce, Sudsy Soapery Citrus & Bay soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, cut Pinaud Clubman decant, and vintage Avon Wild Country to close!

Went all out with the Pinaud-like theme today, being Friday and all. Pretty good shave, the ATG with the Super-Max was a bit rough. The lather I got today though from the Citrus & Bay was perfect, so that did help negate the rough edge a bit.

I haven’t really done any stroke experimentation in a while, my routine is pretty set at the moment.

My attempt to Saran Wrap the samples appears to not have worked well. The Wild Country, though only used a couple of days ago, was mostly dried up. Still I rubbed on the rest of what was left, wet the towelette a bit, and got as much as I could. I’m afraid that when I go back for my favorites they’ll already be bone dry. The towelettes will still smell good at least. Can’t say I’m sad to see the Wild Country tossed into the bin, but at least I’m giving it one last hurrah and rocking it!

Get to close a bit early today at work. That will be nice while it lasts! Semi-busy day today, tomorrow will be a slow day though, just setting the grounds up for church Sunday.

Have a great Friday all!

Excellent, glad to hear. Though maybe you’ve stumbled upon a good tactic...give em the “worst” first, the The others wont be so bad...?
Thanks Tim! Have you tried any Avon frags before?

I’ve tried the Spicy and Oland. The Oland has a smoky scent and was kinda nice. The wife is not an Old Spice fan, so those don’t go over well. Shhhhh don’t tell anyone.

Open Blade Shave #171:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (14), RR Game Changer, Super-Max Platinum blade (7), RR Big Bruce, JoHS Turkish Bath (Barbershop), generic witch hazel, Speick AS, Avon Bravo AS, and Avon Blend 7 frag to close!

Just a quick update today, headed into work soon. Love the scent and lather of Turkish Bath! Good 3 pass shave, no chasing today. Decided to forgo the alum today. Speick applied wonderfully smooth. Both the Bravo sample and Blend 7 sample we’re near bone dry. Both smelled more decent than the first use, so they definitely improve with some headspace!

Still BBS in most areas; on the good side of DFS in my care areas.

Think I have an idea for my next V-log it being my 10th, I decided to do something a little different than normal. May try for that Monday.

Slow, warm day ahead for work. It’s my Friday though and I get to close early, so I can complain too much!

Have a great Saturday all!

Great shaves and reads Chris!

Bummer about the wife's asthma attack! Glad she is okay!

Thanks Craig! The asthma attack was TJ’s missus lol. I got a whiff of the SR this evening for the first time. Strongly scented is an understatement!

My ex told me that SR smelled like an old woman!
