Open Blade Shave #170:
Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (13), RR Game Changer, Super-Max Platinum blade (6), RR Big Bruce, Sudsy Soapery Citrus & Bay soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, cut Pinaud Clubman decant, and vintage Avon Wild Country to close!
Went all out with the Pinaud-like theme today, being Friday and all. Pretty good shave, the ATG with the Super-Max was a bit rough. The lather I got today though from the Citrus & Bay was perfect, so that did help negate the rough edge a bit.
I haven’t really done any stroke experimentation in a while, my routine is pretty set at the moment.
My attempt to Saran Wrap the samples appears to not have worked well. The Wild Country, though only used a couple of days ago, was mostly dried up. Still I rubbed on the rest of what was left, wet the towelette a bit, and got as much as I could. I’m afraid that when I go back for my favorites they’ll already be bone dry. The towelettes will still smell good at least. Can’t say I’m sad to see the Wild Country tossed into the bin, but at least I’m giving it one last hurrah and rocking it!
Get to close a bit early today at work. That will be nice while it lasts! Semi-busy day today, tomorrow will be a slow day though, just setting the grounds up for church Sunday.
Have a great Friday all!
