If you have to do something...

I will give it a fair trial, but initial impressions are pretty close.

Its definitely a unique scent. But there are many other scents out there in the same wheelhouse, so if you like it, it opens up lots of options.

Honestky, I did not like it at first. But I set it aside and tried again later and it grew on me.

Its also a key ingredient of one of the bootleggers recipes, and I like that result better than SR by itself.

By the way, I didn’t realize you were so influential in the Bootlegger legacy! Pretty neat!

From my first use of Bootleggers Bay Rum, I was a huge proponent of it. It really is an amazing line, and all of them are great.

Great stuff Chris, finally caught up! Really did enjoy the thoughts on each of the Avon scents you tried!

Open Blade Shave #172:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (15), RR Game Changer, Super-Max blade (8), RR Big Bruce, GD Absinthe & Leather, generic witch hazel, Fine Platinum, and Mary Kay Cityscape to finish!

Happy Sunday all!

Headed off to church in a bit, but I did squeeze in my normal Sunday morning shave, using some of my favorites.

Solid 3 passes, 2 Feather and final with the GC. This will be the last use of both blades. Tomorrow I will hopefully be able to film my 10th V-Log, and I’m going to need a hyper sharp blade to do it!

Yes rly...nothing special, but something fun, maybe even...dare I say, adventurous.

Marinating in the afterglow of the Absinthe & Leather combined with the devil’s temptation juice that is Fine Platinum. Before I leave I’ll do a couple spritzes of Cityscape and be sizzlin!

Have a great day all!

Its an idea! Could probably safely do it with a DE.
Ive been thinking about it as well. I think it’d be easy with a DE.

Maybe something for all the VLOGers to try one day. I’ve been trying to think of things like that that we can all do, to kind to have a theme day to bring the VLOGs together.

I could probably do it with a Techmatic as many shaves as I've watched with it

Well I haven't even attempted of mastering the blind fold shave, though I'm sure it can be done. I would guess there are, or have been blind men who shave with a straight.

Yea a regular SR would be tough. On a really good day, with a dose of luck, I could probably do it with my Feather SS since it doesn’t really have a point.

Grooming Department Absinthe & Leather is probably the one I would blind buy if I could get one in the brawl that takes place with their releases. Some are saying he may be changing things up though with scent. Guess we'll see

If that's the case, based on my experience with the samples I tried, I don't think I can order from him. I ended up liking something I never would have bough, and didn't care for the ones I thought I'd love. Guess we'll see.
