If you have to do something...

Great stuff Chris! Interesting thoughts on the LT aftershave. I've tried their facial scrub, and that was nice, but wasn't too keen on the scent, and other soaps did the same or better jobs.

Ok ok, is this the Lucky Tiger aftershave and face tonic in the yellow box?

Open Blade Shave #167:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (10), RR Game Changer, Super-Max Platinum blade (3), RR Big Bruce, Cella soap, Alum block, generic witch hazel, Speick AS, and vintage Avon Windjammer to close!

Today was a video day! I’ll post as soon as it finishes uploading.

Otherwise a great shave, only a couple little nicks. The GC has brought the Super-Max back in line for now with its rigidity, offering a great ATG pass.

The Speick is very nice. Similar to the Lucky Tiger in smoothness of application; dries much more quickly though and has a nice alcohol/menthol kick to it. Very pleasant and clean scent, though not long lasting. A good purchase!

The Windjammer is very nice and complimented the fresh, herbal nature of the Speick very well. I think I also detected a very small hint of peppermint or something sweet. The scent is ultra light, more like an AS than a frag.

Vintage Avon sample rankings:

1) Spicy
2) Leather
3) Windjammer
4) Excalibur

5) Tai Winds
6) Blend 7
7) Bravo AS

Back to a normal work week today otherwise! Looking forward to my incoming mail calls!

Happy Tuesday all!

Great shave and picture Chris!

You beat me to posting the Lucky Tiger pic, actually I was going to post a link to amazon.

Open Blade Shave #168:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (11), RR Game Changer, Super-Max blade (4), RR Big Bruce, LNHC Coconut Oud, Alum block, generic witch hazel, Lucky Tiger AS, and vintage Avon Wild Country frag to finish.

Went ahead and recorded the LNHC shave today, so I’ll not bore you to death with the details; suffice to say...that’s some really good soap! The wonderful, muted, toasted coconut scent carries throughout the entire shave. Definitely have to load more lightly next time though, lol, you’ll see in the video.

Avon Wild Country...something about this, honestly, makes me associate it with The Veg. Upon application it was OK, I got quite a bit of baby powder. After about 30 minutes though it had developed into the background notes of The Veg. Now, I’m impartial to The Veg, but I’m not Chosen, the missus hates it. Now the LNHC is also lingering on my skin, it could be some weird scent interaction. I’ll give it another go some other time; for now it’s a no go.

Nice shave Chris and will watch for the video in a NON-Creepy way. WOW! Had Wild Country as a kid so not a 1st pic for me but shocked it's ahead of the Bravo. I gotta start checking out some of these samples from KJ for myself. Thanks for the list!!

Well, if you don't like Wild Country, you're probably not going to like Pinaud Clubman.

Maybe I do Like it. I'm old......it's been awhile. I do like Clubman occasionally so I will need to revisit it. I guess it's like Florida water

or I'm just associating it with something unpleasant from the past. I'm going to try it, I was just going by memory.

Video is up!

Wild Country and the Veg... whoa never heard that one before.

I actually enjoy my cut, decanted version of Pinaud Clubman. I don’t get anything of its notes in the Wild Country except a small dose of powdery scent that lingers. Nope, I’m still smelling the Veg, lol.
