Shave #195 (550 Open Blade Shaves) of 2022:

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Astra SP blade, Graydog Art Deco brush, CBL Hombres soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix w/ splash of Royall Muske, and Dior Homme Sport ‘19 to finish!

Not a whole lot new going on today. Another excellent shave and more superb scents!

IDT meeting this morning followed by some visits. Next week I officially take over that 3rd team I talked about a few weeks back. Still no word on additional compensation.

Trying to make headway on the sermon for Sunday.

Interestingly enough…I felt pretty sore and cramped after Monday’s workout…even up into yesterday’s…but the workout yesterday appropriately stretched and worked out all those pains! Amazing! I’m a bit tired this morning but feeling pretty good.

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Astra SP blade, RR 400 brush, Clown Puke tub soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Pitralon Classic, and layering of Prada L’Homme w/ ADG Profumo to finish!

Ahhhh Friday!

Finished off the day yesterday with another beachside stroll and scoop of McConnell’s ice cream, which was pretty nice!

Great shave this morning, per usual. I haven’t really played much with layering different frags at all. It’s a bit different than layering an AS and a frag, you know, since frags more often than not last longer and project more powerfully. In case you were wondering though…Prada L’Homme + ADG Profumo = 👌

Another bachelor weekend ahead. Today the missus heads out to Carmel with her girlfriends for her long awaited girlfriends trip getaway, that was her birthday present. It’s a shame some of the invitees got sick this last week, so there’s less than she was hoping/planning for. Still, I think it’ll be a good pampering and R&R time for her.

Work on the sermon continues. Little by little. Unfortunately a bit otherwise distracted and having difficulty getting thoughts out this time around. Only a couple days left to shape something up.

I remember my dad handwriting all her sermons. Pages full of his tiny hard-to-read script. He kept all of them filed away just for possible reference in the future I guess. I asked him many times why he doesn't just pull out an old one and give it years later since he would be at a different church. He never did.

Honestly…it’s probably tempting for a lot of pastors. I’d bet that most if not all of the congregation wouldn’t know if you gave it a couple years in between, unless it was a really landmark message, which if we’re honest, doesn’t happen every Sunday 😂

Then there’s the whole conscience thing 😂

He’s OK at the moment. They’ve given him some antibiotics and other meds to hopefully keep him movin while he waits for the specialist visit to come around this next week.

Chores in progress.

Sermon writing scramble commenced. Still having trouble focusing my thoughts. Particularly after a new work/patient experience yesterday at the end of the day. Still processing and it’s making me want to tune out right now. Nothing bad…just a situation I haven’t had come up yet.

Large coffee acquired.

Great shave had! Another frag layering day as well, and to great effect! PLR + VPH = 👌

I’ve heard a couple times from the missus and she is having a great time!
