Shave #283 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Colonial ā€œArmoredā€ General, Feather Pro blade, Paladin Harlequin Chief 26mm brush, Clown Puke tub soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, CC Venture AS, and Mr Burberry to finish!

A little sore here n there this morning. Not nearly as bad as the last two workouts thankfully. Getting ready to head out to church this morning. Local temps have shifted toward cooler days now that our 80+ day is out of the way yesterday.

Good shave this morning. Took a little extra loading time to get an adequate amount of soap onto the Paladin, but when it got thereā€¦hoooooo! So nice! Finished up with a nice warming scent combo.

Most of the chores got done yesterday so today should be a pretty free day! Letā€™s see what happens!

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Lovely a general shave, Chris! Is that a V1 or V2 General! Theyā€™re both great shavers. You should try it with a Feather Super! Let me know if youā€™re interested, I could ship a few your way!

Thanks Jeff! Itā€™s a v1 Brass with nickel plating. Thanks for the Super offer, very kind. Iā€™m kind of trying to run through my Feathers a bit right now though. Iā€™ve begun preferring Prolines for AC razors. Iā€™ll keep a handful of Feathers on standby for Feather SS shaves but thatā€™s about it.
Weā€™re starting to hit the cooler temps here as well. Looking forward to highs in the 60ā€™s instead of the 80ā€™s for sure!
Very nice!

Shave #284 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: RR .68 GC OC, Astra SS blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, LNHC Barber Shoppe post shave elixir, and MK Cityscape to finish!

Is it Monday already?! Lucky kids have the day off due to a teacher inservice day. For me, itā€™s back to the grindstone! It was a good weekend though, so I canā€™t complain too much.

Back to working down this Steel Grey Fougere soap as well. Loaded heavy and whipped away. Decided to pull out one of my few OCs today. The RR .68 GC OC has just enough edge and smoothness to make for a fine shave. Iā€™m glad I swapped the .84 OC plate away for thisā€¦itā€™s much better for me. Havenā€™t used my MK Cityscape for a while either and the initial blast proved it with a good dose of alcohol smell lol. Itā€™s evening out now though.

Great to see some new blood roll through the forums. If youā€™re reading this, welcome šŸ‘

Letā€™s do this! Happy Monday all!

Shave #285 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: RR .68 GC OC, Astra SS blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and Hugo Boss to finish!

Got some pretty decent sleep last night. Nice to wake up not as groggy as usualā€¦still huddled under the blankets for a few minutes, mentally preparing for the chilly hop out of bed šŸ˜‚

Good shave this morning. Only one little nick in a hair follicle. The Proraso Red persists. If Iā€™m making progress on it, it sure as heck isnā€™t noticeable lol.

Have a great Tuesday all!

Maybe we should put odds on that Proraso. Have a great day!

Stick with it, Chris. 3017ing isn't for the faint-hearted! It must be practiced assiduously to reap its full benefits. Then you may begin to appreciate the majesty of a 3017er's journey.
Sir, yes, sir! Thanks for the encouragement Bruce!
FTFY there was a typo. šŸ˜œ
Letā€™s let Bruce have his strange delusionsā€¦keeps him happy.

Shave #286 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: RR .68 GC OC, Astra SS blade, TH Taurus A synth brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, CF Sherlock AS, and D&G Light Blue to finish!

Itā€™s Wednesday! šŸ¤ much closer to the weekend!

Great shave today with some fun, warmer scents for the chilly morning. .68 GC OC gave me a fairly quick and easy BBS. The Astra SS blade has reached a good point in efficiency/feel. Are they better than the SP? Hard to tell.

Going to take the truck by an audio shop today to get a USB/Bluetooth stereo unit priced out and probably schedule an appointment. Nothing fancy but itā€™ll be nice to be able to listen to a wider range of music from the phone. The dial has been stuck on NPR pretty much full time otherwise.

Have a great Wednesday all! Almost half way there!
