Signed up for my trial Orangetheory class this evening with the missus, who’s been going for about a month now. October seems to be a good time to take advantage of their offers and see if membership is in the cards. The end of the month is their Hell Week event where if you complete 5 classes in 8 days, you get a cool shirt. Why not! My work has a small incentive program that pays back a little bit of any gym/fitness membership, so that helps. I do need to get back in shape. I’ve gained about 10 lbs since leaving my custodial job

Haha! My legs are sore and doing that shakey thing when I go up and down the stairs at home. Last nights Orangetheory class was killer! Being my first class, I pushed myself too hard the first half of course and came about
close to passing out lol. Thankfully I recovered enough to do the second half. Not sure if I’ll be able to get Hell Week done at the end of the month…but I’m gonna try!
Good shave and freshen up this morning. The missus leaves today though Saturday to head out to a wedding. Then she’s back for a day and then off again for a few days at school up north. Single dad mode activate!

Well dang…get through this afternoon and we’ll have made it boys! It’s Friday!
Double booked today for work most of the day. Visiting some of my normal patients and also on call for our special hospice care home today and Monday, the normal chaplain there is taking a long weekend to visit family.
Dad mode ratings have held a steady 90%+ satisfaction rating so far. Those ratings should improve tonight since it’s dinner and a movie at home - Black Widow, hamburgers, fruit, chips and salsa!
Rained pretty good overnight here, only really let up in the last hour, which is great, we need it!

Sounds like a great Boys' Night. Your kids will remember these nights forever. Glad to hear you're getting rain. Hope you get some more in a week or two, I'm sure it's needed.

Gear: Colonial “Armored” General, Feather Pro blade, SV/TSC Il Re Tasso d’Oro brush, SV 70th soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, SV 70th AS, and Guerlain Vetiver to finish!
Welp, last night ended up being a pretty great, chill B-day after all! Carried through with the BBQ dinner, then got everyone some kettle corn and their favorite box of candy for the movie. The movie was decent, pretty action packed, didn’t quite have the plot line I expected. I really had thought they were billing it more like a Black Widow origins story but it really wasn’t. Red Soldier got way less screen time that I was hoping. Overall decent though. It was a good night hanging out.
Chores done for the day now except some more loads of laundry. It’s a little warmer today which is nice. The missus should be back from the first part of her travels this evening. We’ll go out and grab a more offices b-day dinner, then chill.
