If you have to do something...

Shave #114 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Parker Adjustable injector, Tactonic blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and Paul Sebastian to finish!

Friday...almost there! Really looking forward to (hopefully) a sleep-in tomorrow.

Great shave...still no end in sight on this Proraso though lol. This might be the first time I finish a soap and AS set at the same time 😂

Found a Brass General! Price was decent enough and it appears to be in near-pristine condition. So I’m very happy about that. If you have good plating recommendations, who’s work you can endorse, I’m all ears!

Have a great Friday all!

Shave #115 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Proline blade, Paladin Harlequin Chief 26mm brush, CBL Sir Fougere tonsorial soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Irisch Moos AS, and Royall Vetiver to finish!

Faux-3017 cheat day...woohoo! Was dying to try the real Irisch Moos deal so I qued up a super “green” shave profile. I’ve never tried any Moos products before, so I’ve no clue how close Sir Fougere is, but in the long run it doesn’t matter! The scent is a great, clean, light fougere. The Moos AS didn’t disappoint. Instant classic! It’s a greener, more powdery, sharper fougere but with a lemony/citrusy twist. It’s softens out fairly quickly. Very nice. Royall Vetiver brought the theme full circle and added in the sharp green notes to make me smell like clean, fresh cut, outdoorsy, fougere. Yum!

Nice morning with a sleep in and coffee, breakfast, and a walk with the missus.

A few chores to get done but should be a nice day!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start all!

Shave #116 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Henson Alu Medium, Gillette Platinum blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and Perry Ellis Oud Saffron Rose to finish!

Did get my shave in this morning. Just a busy work day though.

Hope you’re all having a great close to the weekend and a blessed Sunday!

Well...we were supposed to get rained on pretty good today. Not surprisingly, like the last couple months when the same scenario occurred, whatever front was moving in seems to have petered out and we’ve only gotten a light spittle from our overcast skies. That sucks...

Shave #117 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Henson Alu Medium, Gillette Platinum blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and Mr Burberry to finish!

Up for my daily morning shave and cup o joe. Should be a decent day!

Have a great Monday all!

I've been hearing more and more about this razor.
Me too. I've been curious.
It’s a pretty solid razor for a decent price. The best? Not for me but it is consistent and rather foolproof in its ease of use. I’m happy to have it as an extra alternative to the GC .68 or Prewar Tech for my work day mornings where a DE is used.
Dude, are you even old enough to use words like that?
Old soul I guess 😂

Shave #118 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Schick M Adjustable injector, Schick Twin blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and Penhaligon’s Sartorial clone oil to finish!

Morning coffee mmmm.

From a few nice days of 60s weather right up into the 80s and 90s the rest of the week. Thanks CA 🙄

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Shave #119 (459 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:

Gear: Schick M Adjustable injector, Schick Twin blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Proraso Red AS, and Encre Noire to finish!

Great shave this morning. Someone’s been digging a bit too much into the sweets lately and I had to adjust a bit so I can successfully treat a pimple that pipes up instead of just decapitating it. 😂

Split days off this week unfortunately. Normally I’d have Friday/Saturday but I gave a coworker Friday off for his vaccine appointment, so it’s Thursday/Saturday for me.

Teaching is ready to go for tomorrow’s Bible study!

Have a great Wednesday all!
