I appreciate small gatherings and am glad to have family around...it’s just harder to slip out when you’re ready for the food coma to hit 😂

Gear: Gillette prewar Tech, Wizamet blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, CBL Aquatic Oud soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Barbasol Pacific Rush AS, and Bvlgari Man Glacial Essence to finish!

A bit tired...thank goodness for coffee (with egg nog)! 😂

Not much to report on the shave that’s new...great shave all together. Went with an aquatic theme so I could try out Glacial Essence. Fairly nice frag. Haven’t had it on long but on spray it did smell like a more sophisticated version of Barbasol Pacific Rush...not a bad thing!

Supposed to get a good spot of rain starting this afternoon through tomorrow. Hope that stays true!

Let’s get this day done!

Thanks friends! The rain finally showed up around 1-2...nothing crazy but some decent off n on showers so far!

Corona Virus Official Day 248:

Another Wednesday rollin along! Typical morning getting the kids up n ready for class, etc. No yard work today, besides the fact that’s it’s the off Wednesday, our periodic rain showers continued through the night and into this morning. It’s warming up a bit now and the suns out a little, still plenty of cloud cover though...slim chance but I’m hoping for more rain!

Great shower n shave. Normal Wednesday SV setup. Vector did well, though I felt some of the blade sharpness today. I’ve been noticing that occasionally I’ll have those shaves, where I’ll come back to the Vector after a number of days and I can feel the aggressiveness, just waiting to bite. With regular use though, it more often feels much smoother. 🤷‍♂️ No harm down today though. 👍

Some writing to do today. That’s about it though!

Little bit of a lazy morning. Just didn’t feel like getting out of bed 😂

Great shave this morning. Decided to bring out the Christmas Eve for some wintery goodness. Such a great scent. I think it could probably use a teensy bit less powder but still love it anyway. Finished it off with the most excellent Czech & Speake Frankincense & Myrrh frag. Absolute powerhouse woody/oriental/incense fragrance. One spritz will have you set for the day. Sometimes it gives me headaches it’s so strong but it’s worth the pain.

More writing today...mentoree meeting this afternoon. Another boys night as mom heads off to class later, so probably some dinner and a Star Wars or Marvel movie for sure!

Friday, woohoo! That means new Mandalorian and British Baking Show episodes!

Very nice shave this morning. Reached for some heavier scents. Clown Puke soap lather was phenomenal per usual. Same for the Yaqi Rainbow. Smelling good 👌

More writing today. No need to water anything this weekend as the grounds are still moist from the rains.

Last night’s boys night was a good time. We watched the first Guardians of the Galaxy. I made fried rice but we were out of coconut aminos and gluten free soy sauce, so I had to improvise! I forgot to put butter in but it still turned out good - about 7 cups cooked rice, small cubed Spam (one and a half tins), egg wash (3 eggs, little bit of milk, and pepper), 2 cups of cooked peas, few pinches of salt, few pinches of brown sugar, generous pour of oyster sauce, a some sesame oil, a little rice vinegar, and a little 5 spice. Yum!

Trying to give it it’s fair share of shave time before my early morning work days hit again.

I do love it...I’m wondering though if I wouldn’t be better served by a Colonial General. I still very badly want a v1 Brass (the AC SE that made me love SE razors) and would like to try a v2 at some point.
