Shave #326 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, LNHC Barber Shoppe soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, LNHC Barber Shoppe post shave elixir, and Penhaligon’s Sartorial clone oil to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 251:

Nice morning. Took advantage of my last chance to sleep in for the next 4 days with work happening.

Nice shave this afternoon after cleaning up the hair do some to look nice for the upcoming holiday with family. Took some work but I got a great lather going from the Barber Shoppe. This Penhaligon’s Sartorial clone oil is fairly flat as far as scent body (which I doubt the original is)...or maybe it’s just super linear...but it does smell great and it lasts a long time time, fitting in with Barber Shoppe perfectly!

Last night’s Mandalorian...so fun! I felt like some of the timing of events didn’t quite make sense, but it was quickly overlooked for the fun action and new intrigue introduced! I like that they’ve brought back in Greef and Cara. The three make a good team. The “questing” and “side questing” theme in the story arc is getting a little repetitive but they’ve kept it interesting enough so far as to keep it from being a bad thing.

British Baking Show was good too. The “family favorite” baker solidified their position in the finale with a super performance in yesterday’s 3 tests. Should be a solid finale...still not sure who’s going to take it!

Have a great Saturday all!

Shave #327 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Wizamet blade, Paladin Harlequin Chief 26mm brush, CBL Grassroots Lavender soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Skin Bracer AS, and Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 252:

I’m up, I’m up! 🥱

Nice wake up shave this morning. Went for some cleaner, lighter scents.

Enjoying my cup o joe before heading out the door. Highs in the mid 60s today but sunny. Work will be set up, two services, cleanup then shutting back down. Should be easy peazy!

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Shave #328 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Wizamet blade, RR Big Bruce brush, Proraso Red soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Proraso Red AS, and Baccarat Rouge clone oil to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 253:

Up early, let’s get this shift done!

Nice Proraso Red shave this morning. Not much to report otherwise. Definitely enjoying being back on the warm water shaves! Still finish off with a bracing cold water rinse at the end though.

Work these next 3 shifts is supposed to be a bunch of side projects and cleaning the boss has works up. Should be interesting- cleaning gutters, refilling sand, etc. Yay (not).

We do have quite a bit of hubbub on campus this week as Run To Feed The Hungry is continuing their packet pickup for this year’s “run”. Haven’t heard officially how they’re doing it. I imagine since we’re in purple tier, it’ll be one of those do-your-own-thing things. Still, people have been streaming in by the thousands to get packets, so that good.

Have a great Monday all!

Shave #329 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Wizamet blade, SV/TSC Il Re Tasso d’Oro brush, CBL Sir Fougere tonsorial soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Pitralon Classic AS, and Encre Noire to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 254:

I did have my shave today...at 6:00 this morning in fact. Time just seems to be getting away from me lately.

Didn’t have to spend 7 hours cleaning rain gutters today thankfully (that killed!)...instead my day was absorbed with working in the preschool area to redistribute sand in their play yard and beginning the immense job of raking leaves out of the property’s planter boxes and garden-scape. At least it kept me warm! My body feels dead from the exertion though lol. Looking forward to Thanksgiving time off for sure.

Hope y’all had a great Tuesday!

That only sounds slightly better than gutters. Boy, you are really earning the holiday time off Chris. [emoji6]

Shave #330 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Wizamet blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, CBL Aquatic Oud soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Pinaud SR AS, and vintage RL Chaps to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 255:

Did not want to get out of bed this morning...body’s so sore and tightened up. Last day for the week though, gotta get it over with.

Great wake up shave though. Went for some darker scents. Not sure why I didn’t think of the Special Reserve/Chaps combo before...but it works!

Well, we received word late yesterday evening that the missus’ Grammy died a bit earlier in the evening, in her sleep. Thankfully the missus was prepared, so it didn’t hit to hard at the moment she heard. Still tough though. I think I feel the most sorry for my FIL. He was within hours of getting back home (they live within minutes of each other) from a week long business trip when it happened. Thankfully he had gotten to see her before he left on the trip...still. Thankfully it sounded like a peaceful transition for her though.

Let’s do this thing!

Have a great Wednesday all!

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's grandmother. That is a tough one. Please accept my sympathies.

Sorry for your family's loss, Chris.. Although no time is ever good, the holidays are an especially tough time of year for this.. Their absence is always more keenly felt.

Wishing you and your family peace, brother...
