Shave #304 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Schick M adjustable injector, Schick Twin blade, Paladin Harlequin Chief 26mm brush, DG After the Rain soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Barbasol Pacific Rush AS, and ADG Profondo to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 229:

Little bit of a sleep in this morning. Feeling a little more rested but not quite fully caught up.

Great shave with some aquatic-like scents today. Skin is a little dried out from the cold, but nothing a little balm won’t fix.

Not much on the docket today thankfully. Gotta start up the weekend watering and of course watch the premier of The Mandalorian season 2 later!

The missus received word yesterday that her grandmother had been taken to the hospital having fainted earlier in the day and exhibiting COVID-like symptoms. Thankfully this morning the tests came back negative, it seems to just have been a hydration and nutrition issue. She’s been on the steady decline since the passing of “Papa” her husband a number of years back and was also recently diagnosed with serious, late stage cancer. She’s begun treatments but has been told unless there’s a serious remission, it’s just buying a little extra time at this point. This year sure has raked in the brownie points hasn’t it? 😕

Anyway, enough downer. Hopefully the weekend brings good thing! Happy Friday all!

That's good news about the fainting not being Covid, but I'm very sorry to hear that Cancer is at play. I wonder if the cancer therapy isn't part of the reason she fainted? You certainly can't clear cancer with vitamins and ibuprofen, the medicine is usually the agressive type.

Man, you have it right... A banner year for getting crapped on. [emoji34]

I must not have my finger on the pulse of Disney+, but I just found out this AM that it's a 1 episode/week release. Wasn't the last season a typical streaming - all at once dump?

Thanks Paul. The treatment could very well be part of the issue, she’s just recently started. The diagnosis when she went in though was also dehydration.
Nope. it was spaced out.
Yes, that sounds right. We started watching mid season I think but I remember waiting each week.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's grandmother. I'll be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.

Shave #305 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, CBL 50 Shades of Vetiver soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, 4711 AS, 4711 EDC, and Jaipur Boucheron to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 230:

Had what felt like a great nights rest last night (finally, it’s been a while), even if a little chilly. Slept in for sure, having very little on the agenda.

Ended up finding the perfect gift for my Rudolph buddy (I hope!) and after many many years, finally was able to get a new pair of glasses and sun glasses ordered. Welcome to the new century of vision correction and style Chris 😂. Very happy about that...I hope they provide the same reliable service as my last pairs (which go into semi-storage on stand-by for emergencies).

Have the day’s chores going (finishing watering and laundry). Finally got in my cleanup/shave this afternoon. Excellent shave. The Vector zoomed along with a brand new Feather Pro loaded up. Heavy load on Chris’ MDC-like 50 SoV base provided a silky smooth canvas. Many generous spritzes of 4711 AS and EDC followed up by a single spritz of Jaipur...lemony fresh excellence!

Headed out to the church’s drive-thru Trunk-or-Treat soon, then just hanging out at home to see if any kids come by trick-or-treating (we usually don’t get more than a couple in this neighborhood).

Have a great Saturday all!

Praying for your wife’s grandma and your family

Shave #306 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: RR GC .68, Bic Chrome Platinum blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, Stirling Hipster soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Stirling Hipster AS, and Epic Man Amouage clone oil to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 231:

That extra hour’s sleep felt pretty dang good, lemme tell ya!

Nice wake up shave today with a near foolproof setup. Though, there still wasn’t much to clean up even, thanks to the epically close Vector shave so late in the day yesterday.

Halloween night ended up being a good time for the family. The drive through trunk-or-treat ended up being a much bigger success than anticipated (I hear they had a line of cars the whole time). We got a record new trick-or-treater visit of a whopping 8 or so kids. The rest of the evening’s entertainment was the Animal Crossing (Nintendo Switch game) Halloween event and the Disney movie Coco.

Off to work shortly, for the first Sunday of the month. Health orders haven’t really changed yet. Though I expect with the serious uptick in European cases and dramatic rises reported here, we’re probably going to see some more restrictive guidelines come down the line pretty soon.

Anxiously awaiting Tuesday’s results.

Have a blessed Sunday all.

Shave #307 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: RR GC .68, Bic Chrome Platinum blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, CBL Sir Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Pitralon Classic AS, and Royall Vetiver to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 232:

Already at work.

Nice shower n shave to start the day though! Proven, excellent setup, not much else to say.

Short work week this week. I get this coming Sunday off, which will be nice.

Hope y’all have a great Monday!
