Shave #300 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: RR GC .68 SB, Wizamet blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, CBL Money tonsorial soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Stirling Lime & Black Pepper AS, and limey EO to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 225:

Up early again for that glorious Monday shift! 🙄

Nice shower n shave with a little fresh software combo. Totally forgot that I have a couple little Stirling AS samples still sitting in one of my drawers. Good stuff!

Winds have been decently strong since yesterday afternoon. It’s playing havoc on my allergies! Boo. The MIL and some of my kids’ cousins did come over for a number of hours yesterday though for some belated birthday hang out with the eldest. It was a good day for him! Things then later went to 💩when we found out the middle had, unbeknownst to us, formed an attachment to his old toothbrush that we were trying to get him to replace...lol. That was something else. 😂

Have a great Monday all!

Shave #301 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Schick M Adjustable injector, Schick Twin blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, Moon Soaps Amaretto Speciale soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Stirling Vanilla & Sandalwood AS, and Royall Muske to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 226:

So cold! Just a week and a half ago we were still hitting 90s/upper 80s during the day and 50s at night...now it’s high 70s/low 80s and mid 40s at night. Love it! Still waiting for some rain though.

Nice shave this morning with Amaretto Speciale. The cold winds the last couple days chafed my checks a bit (or maybe a rough blade?) it wasn’t too bad, but some spots felt a little tender off and on during the day. This morning after the shave it feels OK at the moment. Hope it stays that way. Great results otherwise. Smelling great. Royall Muske is one of the musk scents I’ve tried that I can stomach and actually enjoy. I generally don’t like musk forward scents and avoid them unless it’s a well mixed note. It’s not animalic at all and is on the sweet side.

Work shift to get through today and bible study Zoom later. Let’s git er dun!

Have a good Tuesday all!

That Amaretto Speciale is a fantastic cream. Richer than Cella, and super slick. It's a newfound favorite in my Den.

Shave #302 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, SV/TSC Il Re Tasso d’Oro brush, SV 70th soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, SV 70th AS, and Guerlain Vetiver to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 227:

Well, today was that Wednesday that comes every other Wednesday...yard work day! So it was up, get the kids in Zoom classes, fed, and myself out the back door for a couple hours of mowing, trimming, and cleaning. The serious drop in temps the last week and half really turned down the dial on greenery growth to a crawl...which is great! It means that soon enough I may not have to do the yard work even every other week but more on an as needed basis.

Wednesdays are also the days I try to have one of my favorite shave setups - SV 70th and Guerlain Vetiver! Brought the Vector out for a cruise, it definitely needs a new blade, but with a little care still delivered an ultra BBS.

Later this evening I’m going with the missus to a small lecture gathering on faith and politics (not a commentary on who we should be voting for).

Been doing some browsing of the interwebs as well, searching for that unique gift for my Rudolph buddy...and maybe I can sneak in something for myself too! 😂

Have a great Wednesday all!

Nice set up Chris!

I placed a couple orders for the Rudolph exchange and it didn’t occur to me to put a lil sumthin in there for myself until afterwards. 🤦‍♂️

Shave #303 (452 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Schick M adjustable injector, Schick Twin blade, Sorrentino TSC 1st Anniversary badger brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere MB soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, Lucky Tiger AS, and Carolina Herrera’s Bad Boy to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 228:

Yes, I’m alive! Just a busy morning. Got a little extra sleep (been feeling pretty tired the last week) and then had to get up, freshen up and shave, then get to a meeting.

Shave was great, no disappointments. The Schick M is such a face roll, easy button shaver...as I often say in terms of traditional shaving, it feels like cheating! First use of Bad Boy. It feels much like a slighter dark version of Paco Rabanne 1 Million, with slightly less party boy opening. Not bad, I wouldn’t buy it though.

Meeting went well. The junior high and high school directors are looking to begin a confirmation class for their students who are interested in understanding faith and theological basics, with a view toward becoming full members of the church. I and another friend who was there are going to be helping them write and teach the content. It’ll be good to have that developed and in my back pocket for later if I feel the need to do something similar.

Mentoree meeting in a couple hours. Missus has class later, so it’s a daddy daycare evening. 😂

Hope you’re all having a great Thursday!
