If you have to do something...

Shave #62 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Schick Proline blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL Roasted Oatmeal Stout soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Ogalalla Bay Rum & Sandalwood and Dior Sauvage to finish!

Shave #63 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Schick Proline (?) blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL 50 Shades of Vetiver soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Speick AS, and Guerlain Vetiver Extreme to finish!

Just as I was getting accustomed to the HNL time zone, now trying to adjust back to the CA zone. First day back to work later, after a nice 10 day vacation. Felt like a vetiver kind of day!

I’m a big fan of Guerlain Vetiver...so choosing your go with their Vetiver Extreme today seemed only natural. Qued up 50 SoV after a nice shower and went to town. Going to have to take a day or two off from the Vector though...these mystery (Schick ?) blades are not doing the razor justice, or I’m just very out of practice after a month of Tech shaves.

So what about Vetiver Extreme? Pretty much the (watered down isn’t the right word) slightly toned down version of the regular Vetiver with a bit more of a mint edge. I honestly feel either could be an anytime scent, but for those who felt the Vetiver packed a little too much of a cloying punch you front, but we’re still attracted to the dry down, Vetiver Extreme might be for you! Another big winner for Guerlain!

Have a great Tuesday all!

Shave #64 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Schick L Injector, Schick blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, LNHC Coconut Oud soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Lucky Tiger AS, and Guerlain L’Homme Ideal L’Intense to finish!

Early morning to get out the door for school bus duties!

Decided to try one of the “darker” samples passed along by Dave. ChoseL’Homme Ideal L’Intense. It’s a darker, leathery scent to me, but with a lighter tinge of flower/powder. For a little while it had almost a root beer/sarsaparilla kind of smell on the dry down. Not bad, but probably not quite as good as Vetiver and Vetiver Intense for me.

For those keeping track at home:
Guerlain Scents (roughly in order of preference):
- Vetiver
- Vetiver Intense
- L’Homme Ideal L’Intense

First day back at work yesterday was...well...normal. Got caught up on all the goings on; things held together at least, if only just. The homeless in our church area are starting to roam around again as the nights aren’t quite so cold, which means messes and vandalism some times. Stinks.

Date morning today

Looked at the grass this morning as I let the dogs out...dang it sprouted you again fast. Hi Spring. Guess I’m going to be back to mowing on weekends.

Have a great Wednesday all!

Choo choo!! All aboard the Gear train! I swear at least one of those kids looks old enough to start mowing.
Darn right! Record time every time!

If we had a gas mower I might be more likely to teach the oldest. With electric cords laying around though, I’m not sure he’s reached that level of attention or not yet :ROFLMAO:

Look who's taking about double shaves. Shave #64 and we're on day 62 of the year. When did you do 2 double shave days ?

As long as you don't loose a big toe or thumb. You can adapt pretty quickly. I still have a difficult time using the newer equipment. All the guards and safety switches. Such a pain. Damn lawyers ruin everything.
That wheelhorse tractor was circa 1964. By todays standards it is un-safe for anyone to use. Grass, fingers, toes, all would be cut quickly and efficiently. So us wheelhorse jockeys do not fear straight razors.
Guess the DE guys prefer the MTD turds. Seat safety switch, blade safety switch, belt guards. Back up alarms. Bunch 'o' pansies.
