Shave #57 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Pre-war Tech, Feather blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL Money tonsorial soap, generic witch hazel/ Thayer’s Medicated blend, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, and ADG Absolu Instinct to finish!

Another jam packed day yesterday! Dole Plantation train and maze in the late morning/afternoon and then the hour long Kualoa Ranch UTV tour in the late afternoon/early evening...both totally worth the visit; the UTV tour is completely worth the cost and time if you ever get the chance. There’s a two hour option I’d totally throw down for if we ever came back. Probably the most fun thing we’ve done so far and our guide was great!

We’ve randomly seen a few of our island friends while here, for some good laughs and visits. Total happenstance!

Today is another adventure...we’re heading out for a snorkeling experience in Hanauma Bay. Sadly, we didn’t know ahead of time if we were going to be able to do this, so I didn’t get any underwater camera gear. Hoping I can find something to at least rent...

Not sure what else we might do, that’s going to be at least 3-4 hours. Might try to break away later to go do the Arizona Memorial, we’ll see.

Have a great Wednesday all! 🤙

Hanauma Bay is pretty great. I just bought an underwater case for my phone and took pics that way. Cheapest option for underwater photography.

Do the helmets protect you from dinosaur bites?
Everyone’s still breathing and accounted for, so I think we’re in the clear!

Yea, didn’t have time to get to an ABC shop or anything before hand this morning unfortunately. My sister-in-law did bring a go-pro so I’m going to see if I can snag the video.

Really fun experience though, first time snorkeling for me.

Shave #58 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Pre-war Tech, Feather blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL Money tonsorial soap, generic witch hazel/ Thayer’s Medicated blend, homemade witch hazel/aloe blend, and Terre D’Hermes to finish!

Amazing time out yesterday at Hanauma Bay doing some snorkeling for the first time. If we had warmer, calmer, clearer waters by home, I’d totally go and do that more! I also got a really awesome sunburn all over my back...not too uncomfortable thankfully :ROFLMAO:

Today we’re off to do the Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace, and supposedly one of the better luaus this evening. So I’m “dressed” for the occasion, the island way.

Terre D’Hermes is my flavor of the day!

Have a great Thursday all! 🤙

Last full day in paradise!

Yesterday was another jam packed day between visiting the Iolani Palace and spending the 6 hours to experience the Paradise Cove luau. Both fun for the family!

Today is another jam packed, unique day...the missus is getting a tattoo done (her first), done the traditional tap way. My FIL set it up with a known artisan for all his daughters; the tattoo they each receive will be unique but also have common elements to symbolize the closeness of the family, among other things.

Also going to try our best to squeeze in the Arizona finally (I want to go even if it’s just to the visitor center and gift shop for a minute) and maybe the Bishop Museum that we didn’t get to yesterday.

Can’t believe we head out tomorrow. 😩

Have a great Friday all!🤙

That is super cool. I'll always regret not getting one when we were in Tahiti that way.

USS Arizona is worth however much time you can spare, sir! The Family Noir will always remember it.
I’m really hoping we can put in an hour and a half or so...we’ll see!

I’m still undecided on tattoos...mostly because I just don’t know what I’d get that I could be happy with the rest of my life lol. I think I would like to do a wedding band one at some point if nothing else.
Daughter #1, Daughter #2, Daughter #3 etc 😂 😂 😂
Lol something like that! Basically you tell him about what body area is OK to work on and that’s it; he goes to work based on some basic thoughts you give him and what he can interpret through his art and tradition. There’s some pre-thought he does but also some on-the spot evolution/evolving/artistry. He does draw it all out on the skin beforehand though, thankfully. 😜
