Shave #68 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Sorrentino 1st Anniversary TSC badger brush, CBL Grassroots Lavender soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Speick AS, and Guerlain Homme L’Eau Boise to finish!

Ended up staying home today from services. The middle son is going through a cleanse because he has some major health check procedures tomorrow.

Took advantage of the morning by being a bit lazy, sleeping in, then having a leisurely cup of coffee. Remembered that Spring came early and the grass had already shot back up from two weeks ago. Good time to test my face buffs from SA company again. Seemed to work like a charm! It may have helped that there were intermittent rains yesterday, but at least I didn’t dissolve into a snotty, weepy mess!

Showered post yard work and shaved. Popped in a new Feather Pro, a known quantity; much better than the last two mystery blades. Tried CBL Grassroots Lavender for the first time...delightful scent, could maybe use a step up in scent strength, but highly enjoyable!

Frag choice today was Guerlain Homme L’Eau Boise. World difference between this and Homme L’Eau. Not sure how the latter is even considered a riff on Homme really; it smelled great washing off this afternoon and on my short, otherwise a nope. Anyway, Boise was completely the opposite and shoots straight up toward the top of the tester list. I actually prefer it the same as, maybe more than, Vetiver Intense. Boise is a much less muddled scent, not as sweet. It has a very noticeable lemony opening, then settles into a crisp vetiver and what I assume is the cyphre, green, mossy scent. Very nice! I hope it has some longevity!

For those keeping track at home:
Guerlain Scents (roughly in order of preference):
- Vetiver
- Homme L’Eau Boise
- Vetiver Intense
- Homme Eau De Parfum
- L’Homme Ideal L’Intense
- Homme L’Eau

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Shave #69 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Devette, Shark blade, no brush, A&E Shave Serum No.2 soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Speick, and Exceptional BYA For Men to finish!

Shave #70 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL 50 Shades of Vetiver soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Pinaud Citrus Musk, and Paco Rabanne 1 Million to finish!

Le sigh...back to work today. Didn’t feel like much of a weekend between chores and the medical stuff yesterday for the boy. Added up with Saturday’s rough shift and I’m still tired as a dog.

Did get in a nice shower n shave of course; a Tuesday wouldn’t be complete without it! Feather felt pretty darn comfortable and I’m smellin good!

Unfortunately this week is a doozy with the Sac Filharmonic coming for half a week of practice and two nights of concerts (scheduled to clear out by 11:30 each night...ugh).

Here we go!

Have a great Tuesday all!

Shave #71 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ brown synth brush, SV 70th soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, SV 70th AS, and Guerlain Vetiver Extreme to finish!

Another early morning, for my normal routine of taking the kids to school Wednesday mornings to let the missus have a little more sleep.

Came home and had a heckuva nice shave though! The Feather Pro in the Vector is already as smooth and tame as a kitten after only a couple shaves. SV 70th was a perfect path to BBS and a nice little scent pick me up for my laggy brain this morning.

Family programs tonight at church during my shift. The last breath of calm before the mad scramble the rest of the weekend. Work mate is still out sick. I hope he can recoup by Saturday, otherwise it’ll be another messy shift for my end of week.

Have a great Wednesday all!

You guys are a strong family of sleepers. I can see during the summer when the kids are older the whole family making a point just to wake-up in time for lunch

It’s mostly the missus and I. Even on the weekends, the kids wake up fairly early. Summers they don’t start sleeping in until toward the last couple weeks. The fact that they get plenty of uninterrupted cartoon time in the mornings probably has something to do with it. 😜
