If you have to do something...

Catching up, sounds like a couple of good days. Interesting reading about your father-in-law

Nice shave.

I really like a cold water shave after a warm shower. The shower gives my the skin hydration so that the cold water shave might not.

TOBS Sandalwood...mmm...love that scent!
It is quite nice!

Nice read. I too don't care for cold water shaves.
Thanks Dave!

They were good days indeed. Yes, my FIL is quite an interesting guy, very niche talents.

This is true Doug!

Shave #109:

Today was: Feather AC SS, Pro blade (11 - no stropping), RR Big Bruce, TOBS Sandalwood cream, and my decant of homemade Brut AS to close.

Good shower and shave today to start me off back to work for the week. I’ve noticed a couple pimples half heartedly making an attempt to push up. It could be from my facerbating through the day, though I don’t do that much. I think it’s more likely that too many sweets are the issue, I do have a serious sweet/snack tooth!

The shave was my usual 3 pass. No cuts, scrapes, or other issues today. BBS/DFS all around!

In other things, the weather app has been consistently threatening a couple of 100+ degree days toward the end of the week. Not looking forward to that! I’m hoping work will be quiet otherwise. We do have our annual summer Music Camp starting up, where about 100 kids get to experience and experiment with musical theory and instruments. It ends of course with the requisite performance for the parents and families...and ice cream, which is always fun.

Last report from the oldest’s camp group was that things are going smoothly and everyone is enjoying themselves. That’s a big relief for us, due to the distance and our son’s extreme allergy issues.

Happy Tuesday!

nice one Chris! Good to hear that the camp is going well, and that music camp sounds like a great time!

Thanks Josh! Yes, the kids who go to music camp love it. Most of them don’t have music programs throughout the regular school year, so this is a treat!

That sounds like a great experience for the kids!

Absolutely Chris. Starts next week. I know my youngest are looking forward to it!

Nice shave. I hope camp continues to go well.

Thanks Doug!

Ice Cream IS always fun!

It’s like the magical dessert that goes with everything!

You are a shaving Jedi

Lol I dunno about that. I am getting consistently decent shaves...but my training certainly didn’t involve farting around little shriveled, green aliens on my back!

Shave #110:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Pro blade (12), RR Big Bruce, TOBS Sandalwood, and RR The Stallion to finish.

Easy peazy 3 pass with a liiiiitle bit of clean up under the chin. Still working on resisting being finicky and OCD about my shave results. No irritation today, though I did slice off a pimple head, that was gross lol. BBS/DFS all over.

I really want to pick up a Game Changer and Aventus clone AS and frag soon. My hankering is getting stronger!

In other things, just spent some time this morning out with the family before the heat kicks up this afternoon. Let the kids play at a nearby park while the missus and I sat with our coffee. Trying to find ways to make time slow down when with the family while they’re home for the summer and keep the kids from getting too bored too quickly. Things go south pretty fast when that starts happening. This latest generation just has a really tough time if they aren’t being entertained or don’t have a piece of electronics in their hands. Really trying to get them invested in reading, I used to devour books pre-junior college, but it seems like their imaginations aren’t quite up to par in that way. They certainly have no problems reenacting their favorite kids shows during play though...nothing like hearing the same Yugi-oh lines repeated over and over...lol.

Happy Wednesday!

Keep at it with the kids. The will appreciate it later down the line. And I agree, it seems like kids today want to be entertained as opposed to entertaining them selves.

Good for you, I've got one and want to get some feather guards to try it. Had them ordered off the bay and never came. Just got a refund and need to reorder somewhere. Congrats on the progress

You go ahead and be finicky and OCD about your shave result! Chase that demon!

Is it “later” yet?

Another good shave. Getting pretty consistent now, it seems.

Thanks Randall, I’m pleased with the consistency myself! I’m going to be mixing I up a bit in a few days. I have a special package that just shipped today!

Dang, that stinks! I hope you can find some in short order. I’ve not used the Pro Guards yet, but Chad seems to like them.

Lol. There are days!

Great shave Chris!

Agree keep at it with the kids. Children today need to learn more of the ways that we were brought up!
