Good luck on the opportunity - I hope you find out it is a growth position and that you are a fit
Move it oooon up!
Good luck with the opportunity.
I loved to take road trips like that. When I was younger I would take off on a Friday, hit the road and just go. Almost never to a specific destination, I would go wherever the road took me. Now that I'm older and the problems with my back have worsened, I've had to stop. Whenever I do go on a trip it has to be meticulously planned, allowing times for road breaks to stretch out my back and legs.Been a very busy 5 days around here but nice to be checking back in with you guys!
The wedding over in Detroit was very nice, venue gorgeous and weather could not have been more perfect. I also very much enjoyed the 5 hour drive there and back from here in Chicagoland as it was the first time I had driven that long by myself - there's something to be said for being able to listen to your own music/podcasts and only stop when you want to! Road trips with kids are just such a different beast.
Monday I took the day off and we finally made it to the aquarium downtown with my parents. My son loved it but only lasted from 9-11 before he was tired and ready to head back. At least we knew it was likely to happen so prepared my parents that we'd be headed back a little before lunch.
Work is crazy busy the next couple of weeks but looking forward to our "staycation" the week of 25th which is planned to be the last time we're really relaxing as a family of 3 before our daughter joins us next month. That is, unless she decides to make an early entrance into the world like my son, then all bets are off! The final countdown to Baby Girl is on!
Finished off my tub of Summer Break Rope Swing on Saturday, it was a great summertime scent and the cooling agent was really nice when it's oppressively hot here. Working on my tub of CBL Poseidon next.

The imaging nowadays is remarkable.seeing her face and watching her yawn in that wild 4D view they can create now was a much needed boost after yesterday.
Tio me, that is the jingle for NEW Spice......I really miss the Old Spice jingle, with the French Horns and Trumpets.Even before I was shaving, I used Old Spice deodorant to be like dad! When it was time to shave, I replicated his kit which at that time was an Atra, Edge shave gel in that orange can, and a bottle of Old Spice. He had used Barbasol when I was even younger but had "upgraded" to that blue gel at some point. I "upgraded" to the Fusion at some point in the 2000s, migrated to Barbasol in college because it was cheaper than Edge, then finally made the jump to DEs in 2014.
One thing has stayed constant - Old Spice!!
I went down the Indian OS rabbit hole back in the 2014-ish time frame, acquiring multiples of the shave cream and splash. I found the scent at that time to be very close to the old Shulton stuff I have. Picked up a couple more bottles of the splash when I spent a month in Mumbai in 2015 as well. At some point, P&G India changed both the branding as well as formulation of both cream and splash, and I think general consensus is that it's now similar to what we can get here in the states in terms of fragrance. Haven't done a side-by-side on my own yet...maybe I should...
I also used to buy the ViJon OS clone and mix 50:50 with the current P&G offering as it mixed closer to the vintage profile, but that stopped too when ViJon discontinued their line. Sad days. Not that the current P&G offering is bad, just different enough that it was fun to try and get closer to the older profile.
You don't see them mentioned much, their labels on Cannonball and Rope Swing are beautiful and performance fantastic!Summer Break is one of those dark horse brands - I love their Cannon Ball soap!
I thought about going that route too, but realized I could get a new iPhone 13 Pro through work and not pay a dime in addition to saving $20 a month on service - an extra $250 annually towards frags!! (or ya know, baby girl stuff cause my wife controls the budget)I was similar to you with the two phones - just got tired of carrying two around with me. I went the other route - I kept my plan and then use the company apps. I do use the Focus settings on iOS to enforce the “my time” aspect.
I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on Y EdT vs Y EdP
Have a great day!
The amount of people from my generation that are still on their parents family plans is staggering, my parents kick my butt off the day I graduated! When we really started watching the dollars and cents upon my son's birth and my wife staying home, I dove off the deep end to make sure we were paying the absolute minimum for our cell phones as those can be a pretty hefty amount of money in the annual budget!Interesting, the ins and outs of cell stuff, I’ll admit I’m fairly naïve on the phone system stuff. I’m surprised area codes are still a thing honestly, everyone could have a unique phone number just like they do government issued ID.
Looking forward to your thoughts on the frags!
Ok, now I feel old because when I graduated - this was the only “mobile“ phone out there…..my parents kick my butt off the day I graduated!
Our first mobile phone was my wife's bag phone about '92 or '93. No kidding, that sucker weighed at least 20 pounds!Ok, now I feel old because when I graduated - this was the only “mobile“ phone out there…..
