Last snow went ok. Me and Daddy’s Girl kicked ass as usual. Now we are back at it again. This time ice is in the forecast. Raining right now. And road temps are averaging 37-39 degrees F
So just waiting for the HoHoHo to make her move.

Also on a sidenote. As a result of me sitting here in my dump truck and having access to the Internet I now have three tubs of shave soap headed my way. So I got that going for me which is nice.
I’ve been working on some new types of shave brushes. Everybody’s got badger, boar and even horse hair. But I’m gonna make gopher hair brushes.

Yes it is. But don’t worry I have one waiting to go in the hand when it’s used up. I’m a big fan of the classic aftershaves.

Well this ice storm really didn’t turn out to be much ice. So me and daddy‘s girl will be standing down at 2100hrs. DR34 is secure. Daddy’s Girl is operational. Crew operational. Mom nature has yet to put any serious offensive together so far this winter. Lots of time left yet however. We shall stand/sit at the ready for what may happen next.

Well my stand down orders were rescinded rather quickly. Went home at 2100hrs. And was back in Daddy’s Girl at 2300hrs. We are now on district wide ice patrol. Mom nature has left behind saboteurs to take out any dumbass drivers that don’t know how to slow down. Even when it’s 25 degrees and there is ice every f’ing where.

Ah, Clubman Vanilla. My first attempt at adding menthol crystals to aftershave was with a bottle of that. I went a wee bit overboard and turned it into an arctic storm on my face.

Other people’s stupidity is my job security

I did actually get a shave in yesterday.

I was very hesitant about that soap based on the name and lack of scent description. @MilkCrate was kind enough to send it my way though, and it’s now one of my favorite scents. I can see how the Clubman Vanilla would pair well with it.

The hipster was in the second anniversary box. Probably wouldn’t have bought it by myself. But it is a nice scent and of course a good base.

I have lots of soaps I like. But there are only about 6 that will be “refilled “when I use them up. I have 3 more new soaps on the way.

I think mine says Surgical Steel on the blade, and I wasn't able to get the greatest edge on it at the time. I might need to break it out and try again soon. It's a beautiful razor.
